VERY IMPORTANT! These old fashioned coffee machines need time to make good coffee. The first coffee will taste bad but slowly, around the 10th coffee, these coffee machines will make a very good and deliciously creamy coffee. Be patient and NEVER use soap to wash them! ONLY WARM WATER!

it looks well made with engraved "made in Italy" on various parts. it is small for 2 expresso coffees or one "american/british" cup version, it arrived wrapped in original box and paper and water measuring cup. it has a hole in the lid I am not sure if this is to improve the speed or quality, as I have not found any feedback about this anywhere yet, but we have not used it as yet as it is a Christmas gift, but it looks pretty geniue and actually little bit better than our old pot. The seal around the middle part of the pot is looking fairly good/good quality seal. This coffee maker looks as it is worth the money paid for it, fingers crossed it lasts as long as our previous one.

The reviews saying there is no Crema are not entirely correct, those reviewers are more than likely using stale pre-ground coffee or a grind size designed for Cafetière/Pour over. Using pre-ground Kimbo coffee that has a package date of Dec 22, produces an acceptable level of crema, that doesn’t dissolve immediately. However this pot is prone to leakage, as it requires to be tightened as much as possible as it brews at a much higher pressure and therefore the normal amount of tightness that you would usually do on a Moka Express is not sufficient. So please bare this in mind if you struggle with tightening stuff/opening tight stuff.

Add 120ml of hot water into boiler, there is a measuring cup included. Fill basket with coffee, do not tamper down just tap or shake to level Put on low heat and wait Soon as bubbling through top take off heat and let it rest till it stops Done I just lazzava ground coffee both normal and decaf. Very inconsistent in how it brews. I've used it six times so far, following the instructions. On two occasions it produced a pleasant brew with crema. On two more, a pleasant brew with no crema and on a further two occasions, the coffee literally exploded out of the vent in the top chamber, blew through the hole in the cap and all over the stove top. Inconsistent and dangerous.

I was reluctant to buy due to the reviews on here…. I can say that this little coffee pot is EXCELLENT! If you follow the instructions the coffee it makes is perfect with good crema!!! As soon as the coffee starts to come through take it off the heat and allow the remaining coffee to come through. As soon as it has pour IMMEDIATELY otherwise the residual heat in the pot will over heat your coffee and ruin the crema. Also I suggest not filling the water to capacity, under fill by about 10-20mls as this will prevent over heating the grounds and keep your coffee smooth and sweet! Overall this is fantastic and I have been using daily since buying!

I love Bialetti moka lots but I ordered a 2 cup, the box says 2 cups but this is definitely a 3 cup moka pot. I’ve already got a 2 cup and another 3 cup pot, this new one matches the size of my existing 3 cup pot! But I wanted another 2 cup pot. Suggestions?

Trial and error with water level and amount of coffee. Plus tamping the coffee. But once perfected the result is the best.
