Keeps my lettuce fresh!
These are a great idea - I'm moving away from plastic storage for any of my food or drinks. I have only used this on lettuce so far and it works really well - keeps it nice and crispy and fresh. I am ordering a second one today so that I can always have a clean one to use. They hold quite a bit of lettuce. I usually wash a large head of red leaf lettuce, a couple heads of romain and another head of a different type of lettuce (green leaf, etc.). I store in the bag until I'm ready to use. They are a bit pricey but when you consider they can be reused over and over again and are safe, it's a wise investment.

I was really skeptical about these Vejibags when I first came across them on Amazon. I was looking for something that would help keep my vegetables fresh longer than a few days because I always overestimate the number of greens I eat in a week when I go shopping. Luckily this bag turned out to work quite well overall! It did indeed keep my greens from wilting and getting gross. They lasted for about 1.5 weeks until I was able to finish eating my greens. The only downside is that the bag is very moist and leaks in the fridge after following the instructions on the bag. I even tried to squeeze out as much liquid as I could. I ended up placing the bag into a bowl so that there wouldn't be any liquid in the fridge. Just something to keep in mind!

It's not you, it's me?
I really wanted this to work for me and I'm not thinking it's any fault of the bag but becoming more familiar with the maintenance and use of it that ends up not working for me. I use plastic "absorbing" veggie bags to store my lettuce in the drawer in my fridge (I re-use them for as long as I can), but I was hoping to get rid of them and use this fabric one instead. Then came the caveats - the need to keep it "moist", not too dry, not too wet, and monitor this on an on-going basis and the fact that when lettuce browns (ie, rusts) it routinely will stain the inside of the bag and you have to wash it, leaving you without any storage for a spell unless you buy at least two and keep it in rotation. This is too much work for me unfortunately.... it felt like cloth diapers, great in idea but requiring so much more discipline in practice. They may work for you - the construction is top quality, have no issues there, just the process of using it as a lettuce bag didn't work for me.

Maybe I didn't use it right?
It's not rocket science, but my carrots withered at exactly the same rate when I followed the instructions.

Worth the price, shocked by results
I was a bit skeptical and hesitant to purchase this bag because it seemed expensive to me, but holy cow was I impressed! I live alone and often end up not being able to finish produce before it goes bad, which always makes me feel incredibly guilty, so I figured it was worth a shot. I was honestly shocked at how well it kept my produce. I packed the large bag full of a head of romaine lettuce, celery, and some carrots, and everything stayed crisp for WEEKS. I actually forgot the romaine was in there and pulled it out after like 2-3 weeks and the lettuce was as crisp as ever, which literally never happens. I've recommended it to like 4 other people, and they're all happy with their purchase as well. I'll probably be back to buy the XL bag as well. I definitely have less food waste, and I love how crunchy all my produce stays! 10/10 would recommend.

Have only been using for a short period of time
Feel good about NOT using plastic bags however, still not use to using these. Kind of awkward in the grocery store and haven't noticed a great improvement in stay fresh length. Still using and still feeling good about not having to use plastic.

Spendy but works.
These are expensive for what they are. That said I’m an experienced home sewist and you know what I don’t want to do? Cut and sew this type of nap and stretch at home. Could you make a regular cotton or linen cloth bag? Yes but it won’t hold the moisture as long and you will be annoyed at taking all the stuff out, wetting your bags and wringing them out every day. These make produce last MUCH longer. So much so I changed some of my buying and shopping habits.

It does what it is supossed to do, keeps vegetables longer green and fresh. Very important to re-humidify the bag once in a while, but when you get the hang of it, great product! If the price would be better, I would buy more of them.
