BEST TRACFONE FLIP PHONE EVER!
If you're in the market for a superior flip phone...this is it! I have owned dozens of Tracfone flip phones over many years, but this is by far the best! Undecided? Give this unit a try. Take your time to learn it's many features. Adjust to a flip phone once again. The phone can be held in your hand when walking. A bit too heavy to wear in your shirt pocket, but the features, the amazing reception and by far the outstanding clarity on incoming calls will convince you this phone is an outstanding value at the price. LG has produced one "dynamite" cell phone! What are you waiting for? Order it! I am a Senior Citizen with years of experience in broadcasting. "Clarity" has always been of the utmost importance in my radio work. This Tracfone is the winner. Because it piggy-backs with the "best" cell phone service in the U.S. you'll find the reception and transmission superior! Whether you're indoors or outdoors this Flip Phone will far exceed you needs. I dislike I-Phones with a passion. Not to keen on Android phones. But the Tracfone LG Flip Phone has made me come to realize a company like LG can make and market something that is truly different, works and is priced at a very, very reasonable price. So, like I said, what are you waiting for? This review may sound like a commercial, but it is NOT. Am I happy with the Tracfone Flip Phone? Yes!!! It took me several months to realize this is the "best" of the best, to date, for Flip Phones only from Tracfone. Buy, use and enjoy. Hopefully this review will help you decide.

It is 4g
4g appears at top of the home screen with the vertical bars and the funnel wi-fi signal also. It is small and faint, but it is there. I was able to connect to wi-fi, I just had to enter the wi-fi password. The white/gray background with black letters/numbers make it easy to see. I am a senior with one hearing aid and not tech savvy. I use the cell phone for necessities only, which isn't much. I was able to get it on vibration mode by pressing the # key and then I clicked off the ringtones in the settings section. The SOS button can only be programed for one cell phone number not for 911. This phone feels and looks like it is quality made. I had a little trouble hearing the volume when it was at its highest of #7 in a test call to my sister who was in the next room. Then I pressed the speaker phone button and I could hear her fine. She said she doesn't speak loud over the phone, so I think that is why I could barely hear her at #7. The 4g signal goes out sometimes and 1x shows up where the 4g was. I think it is because I am in the house, but it goes back on in a short while. I live in a rural area, I don't think it is the phones fault. My old 3g phone did the same but stayed off signal most of the time and it was very frustrating. I have since understood some things about 3g and 4g and signals. I thought it was tracfone and my 3g phones fault, but now I understand it is not. I have been very stressed and disappointed with cell phones which have always been tracfones. I think this one will not be a disappointment because it is 4g and I understand more about the technology.

Best Flip Phone Ever!
I used to like the LG 3G. This LG 4G did not pop up in the search last summer, so I tried the Tracfone Alcatel MyFlip 4G, which was awful. Too late to write a review on that phone so here I am to say how SATISFIED I am with this one. Unlike that phone, the buttons are easy to press, messages don't get lost, and its much more user friendly. LG phone are top of the line, do NOT buy Alcatel. My mother got a jitterbug with Alcatel and it was so awful a senior couldn't use it. This LG really is the best flip phone ever so I bought one for me, mother and elderly uncle.! I'm giving it 4 stars instead of the 5 it deserves so that customers can read my review here (the 5 stars get lost in the mix).

I LOVE THIS PHONE
This phone is awesome for your new 4G traditional flip phone. Making calls and texting is all I care to do and it is perfect for me. It runs on the 4G LTE network and will still work after 12/31/2020. LG phone have great reception in stores. It uses the Verizon network. It does NOT have a touchscreen, but that is the only negative. Crisp clear voice. Big buttons and you can enlarge the font size. Also has a new SOS feature where it will send a message of help to a prerecorded number. Great buy for the money !!! I highly recommend this phone if you just want a flip phone.

LG Phone ok. TracFone went south fast . They do not care about a customer
I WILL NEVER BUY A TRACfONE AGAIN HAD THERE PHONE 20 YRS SPENT 2 HRS TALKING TO A RECORDING NEVER TALKED TO A PERSON. wANTED KEEP THE SAME PHONE NUMBER SO FAMILY & CONTACT WOULD KNOW HOW TO CALL ME. WILL HAVE TO GO WITH SOME ONE ELSE THAT WILL GIVE ME THE SAME NUMBER I had or at least talk to me. They just keep telling me to turn my old phone on that is broke. I could tell recording that its broke even though I tried Phone may be fine Had 2 LG before I liked them or I wouldnt keep buying them. Do not buy a TracFone unless you like spend a lot time trying to activate & keep the same #. they not the same as they used to be. They had people to talk to not a recording. You have been warned about tracfone. I was a good customer 20yrs . I f I had known Sooner. Now I will Return this phone.

Decent Flip - And Here Are Some Tips
Since this has no keyboard, here are some tips for typing text, navigating, etc: From the front screen, press the 'SEND' button to see the list of recent calls and get the menu options for this list. From the front screen, press and hold "1" to call voicemail. Or, dial *86. Once you have called voicemail (and set it up, for a new phone), you can also add it as a 'Contact' from the list of recent calls. From any menu screen, press the "CLR" button to back up one menu level. From any menu screen, "END" pulls you entirely out of the menu and returns you to the front screen. Entering text: In some screens, "END" finishes the letter and moves you to the next letter to enter. In this mode, the '0' key doubles as "next". In other screens, such as entering a Contact's name, the key is a toggle for as long as the letter is highlighted. For example you want to enter the letter "B" -- press the '2' key, and an 'A' is showing, highlighted. Then immediately press the '2' key again until a 'B' is showing, then wait for a moment for the 'B' to no longer be highlighted. Then you are ready to enter the next letter. While entering text the "CLR" key is a backspace key you can used to erase the previous letter. While entering text, you can cursor to another letter before by using the left and right clickers in the "ring". Once you have placed the cursor after the letter you want to delete, press "CLR".

Disabled uncle loves his new phone
Taking over Power of Attorney and helping my elder stroke disabled uncle meant finding a phone he’d feel confident using. We took a week to slowly learn this gadget together. The directions do not make this easy to learn. This explains the minus one star. I typed up the primary things uncle needed to remember. How to check the text. Answering machine messages. Use speakerphone since he’s one handed this is super helpful when he’s checking messages and wants to delete them. Overall this is an exceptional phone for the monthly price. We bought the phone here but set the phone monthly plan up on the Tracfone website. Based on reviews the website was super easy. Customer service very helpful. Auto-renewal perfect. The first month $17.71 for unlimited talk and text. We got the $20 plan. The first month had some discounts. Uncle doesn't need internet so I didn't set this up. The numbers are super big. Light up. I think the navigation confused uncle since it was different slightly from his old phone. Didn't have a symbol in the middle. So, I added a tiny piece of textured hospital tape to help him remember. The weird thing is the sound where you listen is on the back of the phone. So if you cover this can't hear people. For uncle, the speaker option works perfectly. If this phone is for an elder person who needs assistance I'd recommend helping set it up. I'd recommend the list in the photo of things to remember for your loved one. This helps my uncle remember a lot. We used a whiteboard at first he could see whenever he used the phone. Then, created a list of what’s most helpful the directions didn't outline. As far as I can tell there isn't a better phone on the market for elder folks who need a great easy to use once set up cell ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great keyboard with little bounce. Good overall flip phone.
Plusses: Great keyboard with little bounce at first. (warning this changes with use, developing increasing bounce) No touchscreen. I can't operate touch interfaces. Calculator retains results between sessions. Transferring contacts via Bluetooth from old phone to this is quite easy and quick. Bluetooth tethering mode allows connection to my TomTom GPS. Although not a Smartphone, has Smartphone like ability to select and follow links in TXTs. First flip phone I have had with support for any emojis. Minuses: The protective tape covering the "PWR END" key peeled some of the surface of the key off when removed. Lacks flashlight mode. Appointments on calendar frequently fail to issue the Reminders that you set for them! This could be serious, resulting in missed appointments! After 3 years of use the 5-way key came apart, replacing the phone is now much more expensive than original.
