Once you get the hang of how to refill the butter cutter it is very easy to use. Regular real butter sticks fit in perfectly. I live in the United States so can guarantee that it fits regular butter sticks. Much better than taking out the cutting board and slicing butter as it melts.

This butter dispenser is just garbage. Cheaply made. Ugly. Gigantic and despite of that a standard stick of butter does NOT fit loosely inside, so it will never slide down on its own because it's stuck everywhere; and the supposed block that I imagined was a weight to help push it down, weighs nothing so it does nothing other than give you another piece to wash later on --oh, and instructions say do not pour hot water on this piece, so how the heck are you going to properly clean a mess of solid fats inside a small cube where no other tool fits in?? The only way to use this piece of garbage is pushing it with something from behind, be it your finger or a tool. If you actually get it to cut something, if the butter is hard, then you get a hard chunk of butter on your dish and often doesn't detach from the dispenser without help. If it's soft, it just sticks to every part it touches. And like many people said in previous reviews, it doesn't have a bottom lid so it's kind of disgusting leaving the butter open face down on the fridge or counter or wherever you store butter. The only thing that this item does is contaminate the world with another piece of useless plastic. Avoid at all costs.

I want to love it because I had one before for years but this one already broke a few months after buying. Thankfully it was the inside part which I saved from the broken former one 'just in case'. I did hurt myself to get the old one out after it broke.

This is a great idea that didn’t work well for me. I have arthritis and found it extremely difficult to use. It might work well for other people.

I like the product

This is our 3rd butter cutter, and not replacing, but adding to another fridge. This thing is great, simple, and does exactly what it should do.

This product does not hold an ordinary stick of butter. I ordered it on March 13 and didn't receive it until April 15. I wanted to return it because it obviously didn't work plus it was missing a part that it said it should have to cover the butter opening. Then I had to pay for return shipping which I think was totally wrong. I would not order this again nor would I want other's duped by this seller. I took it to my local post office and to the UPS store and it would have cost upwards of 80-100 dollars to return. I would rather recycle the darn thing. Definitely a bad purchase and no easy or cost effective return. Do not waste your money here...

I bought this as a gift for my mother for Christmas and she absolutely loves it so it was the best gift she got all year. This is a great product

Habe den Butterschneider für die WG gekauft da es hygienischer sein sollte. Es funktioniert nicht. Die Butter wird nicht runter gedrückt das nachschieben von oben um die Butter nach unten zu drücken macht keinen Sinn!
