This is my favorite bladder so far
I've been an avid hiker/backpacker for 13+ years, so the pack is obviously essential and gets some serious use. This is my favorite bladder so far. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the mouthpiece, as I had an L shaped mouthpiece with a magnet that connected to my camelbak before. I love the cover for the mouthpiece, because let's face it...they always get dirty and you try to wipe it off, but in reality just give in and drink the dirt. It also has an ON/OFF switch and now I just can't go back to one without. The thermal cover for the hose is great. I put a lot of ice in my pack and fill it to the brim before a hike. After a 10 mile hike (and probably 8 hours later, long after my hike was over) and I was still drinking cold water (amazing!). The hose is very easy to engage and disengage from the main bladder (which is the same with most of the newer ones). I don't even look at a bladder that doesn't have a wide mouth to fill- they are a nightmare to put in ice in and to clean. A handgrip around the wide-mouth is also essential, and this one is pretty standard and easy. 5/5 stars, for sure.

Great bag for the money
This is a great bag. I love the wide mouth cap, for easy cleaning and drying. The water in the bag does not have an after taste, but the water sitting in the tube will. The first sips will have a plastic taste, but once the water starts flowing from the bag and quickly passes through the tube, it is all good. I used it for cross country skiing and found it fit will in my Teton Hydration Pack, which came with a blade, but was not as nice as this one. The only issues I have are with the tube. It is solid, comes with a insulation sheath, and a cap to keep the mouth piece clean, but it will produce a plastic taste if water sits in it for 20 minutes or more, and it is hard to dry it out.

Great Product for the Price!
This is a fantastic product! I used this while hiking in the mountains and it has some great features:- There is an on/off switch near the mouth piece which keeps water from dripping out of the mouth piece- The lid is easy to remove and fits tightly. It is also very large making it easy to fill.- The hose is the perfect length. I used this in the computer pocket of a regular backpack and the hose was plenty long enough.- Bag does not leak- Hold enough water for two people on a 5-hour hikeThe only con is that I had quite a major leak at one point. After investigating, I found the bag was completely secure. My guess is the tubing pulled away from the area where it connects to the bag. I inspected the entire bag and could not find anywhere that the water was coming out from and it did not happen a second time. I was more careful with how I placed the bag in my backpack so there was no stress on the tube where it enters the bag.

Was excellent until it broke after using it 8 times.
***Update Edit*** I originally gave this 3 stars because it worked great for the first 8 times I used it. Then it broke. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement right away. That's pretty good customer service. I am now giving this 1 star (would give it zero) because the replacement they sent me broke on the first use (I actually didn't even get to use it). I went snowboarding today. I filled up the bladder and hung it in my bag. Put the bag in the front seat of the car and drove 2 hours to the mountain. Got out of the car with my daughter, got the boards off the roof, put the bag on and went to get the lift tickets. Placed the bag down on a bench to work the boa laces for me and my daughters boots. Get up and lift the bag off the bench. Small puddle of water under the bag and water on the bottom of the bag. Thought to myself "What is wrong with me? Why would i put my bag in a puddle of water?" Then I saw the water dripping. Opened the bag and the bladder is completely empty. Big pool of water in the bottom of my bag. Extra socks, hand/toe warmers, and gopro monopod soaked. Luckily I kept the gopro case with the extra batteries in the external bag compartment so they weren't completely ruined. Took the bag outside and emptied the nearly 2 liters of water onto the ground. Put the bag on without realizing there was a compartment that still had water in it. Now THAT water leaked out onto my snowboard jacket. Now I have a wet snowboard jacket in 26 degree weather. When I got home, I inspected the bladder to find what the problem was THIS time. Apparently, the seal came apart where the hose connection meets the bladder (pic attached). I just realised...Thank GOD it didn't happen while it was sitting in the front seat of my car on the drive there. What would happen if you soaked heated seats with water? The little card that comes with the bladder says something along the lines of "Please contact us before leaving bad reviews so we can make it right". Thats really good customer service, but if they have to put that on their product, it sounds like this may be a normal occurrence. Sorry Renegade active, but this is not acceptable.***End Update Edit***Functionally, this was great. I used it while snowboarding. It was a game changer. I was able to stay hydrated all day long without needing to stop and get something to drink out of my bag or stop at the lodge multiple times per day. I used it 8 days on the mountain. I went to pull it out of my bag yesterday after boarding and it was sitting in the bottom of my bag. Strange. I went to clean it and realized the hook that you hang it on was broken. Disappointed obviously. I suppose this could be a fluke and I guess I could talk to the seller about a replacement, but i'm going boarding again in 2 days and I just can't go anymore without a hydration pack ever again. I'll probably pick one up from a sporting goods store tomorrow.

Sabor a plástico
