Sturdy and easy to mount. We live in California and mounted TV's and furniture in order to eliminate any chances of TV's and furniture tipping during earthquake. Can use for childproofing also.

Warning: Sort by verified purchaser reviews only (by clicking "see all reviews" and then sorting by "verified purchasers only") and you'll see the 60+ reviews that seem mostly positive are quickly reduced to just 11 reviews that are mostly negative and actually honest (by the way, you should be filtering all Amazon reviews this way - it still doesn't eliminate the purchasers who were "given a discount in exchange for an 'honest' review" but it does get rid of the complete garbage reviews by paid people who have no experience with the product). Anyhow, the truth is, these straps are not what they seem. They are very cheap feeling, slippery straps that EASILY pull right through the plastic buckles with a light tug on the piece of furniture they're attached to, quickly building up swinging/falling momentum that likely is capable or ripping out the included and [horribly] cheap screw anchors and will certainly allow all drawers to open hastily. Even if these straps somehow held in a real tip-over incident, the slamming-open drawers will surely knock down your toddler... or worse. And now let's talk about the instructions and included hardware. 1) No instructions are included, and the "photo" of instructions is not accurate and includes no information about the included hardware. 2) The hardware included is all wrong -most doesn't even fit the actual mounts they are meant for. Screws are either too big or too small, washer is too small, nothing matches the "instruction" photo and you end up having to purchase screws that are actually appropriate. Beyond the phony-ness of this whole product and review debauchery, even using your own screws, the mount design that goes on the back of the furniture won't work on most furniture! The triangle screw pattern and large plastic mount are way too tall to be able to screw into furniture with largely thin wood backing, like dressers, desks, bookshelves and... anything you would possibly want to use these for. Send these and their crappy seller packing back to China. Zero stars?

Hardware and straps arrived in a timely fashion with simple packaging. I only wish there were some sort of instructions included. Do I need a diagram on how to drive a screw into a wall? No. But, it would have been nice to get some tips or indication advising which end is most effective attached to the furniture or to the wall. When it comes to child safety, I would appreciate some advice on what works best. Good quality product.

The straps are good quality, solid clasp attaching the two mounts together, and the nylon straps easily lifted a 80-lbs dumbbell without showing any strain, but the included hardware (screws and drywall anchors) are incredibly low-quality. Through tightening the screw into the wood panel on my bookshelf with a simple ratcheting screwdriver, I managed to 'snap' the head of the screw off. After unscrewing the nub from my bookshelf with needle nose pliers, I managed to get a second screw in.I assumed that this happened since I was screwing into hardwood, so for the next screwhole, I predrilled a deeper hole to seat the screw in. And what do you know, once again, the screw snapped under adequate torque from my screwdriver.This thing is meant to keep your children safe, yet they cheapened out on crucial materials to make the straps work properly. I took a trip to my local hardware store and was able to secure the straps with proper screws, but if I'm going that route, I might as well pick up metal anti-tip brackets while I'm there.

The screws that come with the straps are complete trash.I've installed 4 straps and have had two screw heads fall off and two screws stripped rather easily.The straps are fine, but be prepared to make a trip for additional screws.

The handyman we had install these said they were the best he'd ever encountered -- very easy to install and very effective. I'm about to order another bag of them.

My first sign as to the quality of this product should have been the fact that they misspelled 'install' on the product cover. You can see it right in the Amazon picture - doesn't speak to a high quality product. Also, pay attention to the other 1-star review. I am usually pretty savvy but fell for the fake reviews that propped this product up. Notice how most of the reviews are unverified purchases? Also note similar names and poor/awkward use of English for the reviews.As for the product - no instructions come with the product. I had to find (unprompted) the company's web page to get the instructions. Overall, the instructions are relatively poor and all the measurements are in metric (i.e. drilling 5 mm pilot holes measuring in cm etc.) which isn't horrible but somewhat inconvenient. My biggest gripe with this product is how cheap the screws are. I couldn't properly screw into our solid wood book shelf without completely warping the face of the screws. Tried 7 different screws before coming back to Amazon to see if other reviewers have had the same problem. That is when I realized most of the reviews are bogus.No idea of the other materials are as cheap, but I'm not going to risk my son's safety by taking a chance.

They hold well like they should and are great for book cases and tvs. Too big and bulky for smaller items like a side table.
