A fun toy when you have other MoH RCs
I got this while I was at Toys 'R Us while it was on sale. Sale price - about $15.00. $59.99 for this is actually pretty outrageous. Especially when all the fun is when you have more than one of the MoH RC Vehicles, as they can battle each other.Run time on the batteries is pretty good, they'll last a good amount of time. (Batteries do *not* come with the toy, and you need 3 x AAA for the remote, 2 x AAA for the ATV, and 3 x AAA for the bunker. So that's 8 x AAA's that you need in order to operate this toy. I would suggest getting the Duracell Rechargeables StayCharged AAA Batteries, 4-Count . The charge may not last as long as a regular alkaline battery, but you won't be spending more money on replacement batteries.)Now on to the fun stuff...The ATV has a decent speed (for a small RC toy), and maneuverability is so-so. (What do expect from a toy?) It *CAN NOT* run on carpet - you need either linoleum, hard wood floors (*gasp*), tile or concrete (like your backyard area or the garage...which is the one I suggest; see my review for Interactive Toy Concept Medal of Honor Assault Helicopter with Battling Action as to why). If you do run it on carpet, you run the risk of burning out the motor...which means buying a new ATV.The fun part is when you get more than one of these line of toys together and start battling each other. They all take damage from "attacks," which slows them down...and in the case of this ATV the little guy pops off and the ATV comes to a halt. To reset it you turn it off, turn it back on, and then put the guy back in...takes like 10 seconds and you're back in the battle. When I get the chance I will add a video of a battle between the ATV & the helicopter (linked above).(BTW, the reason I gave the Educational Value 2 stars instead of 1 is that it makes for a good primer on how to operate RC Vehicles for children.)
