SVEN Ceramics Presidio Line: Large Handthrown Shino Mug

This large mug is from our Presidio Line. Each cup is handmade and thrown individually on a wheel, and so each one is unique. They are similar enough to each other to be paired together in sets, but each will most likely vary in some small way--but that's how you'll know its been handcrafted, rather than made by a machine or by a mold. The cup(s) that you will receive will look very similar to the one in the photos. The glaze that we used for these cups is a Shino, which has a lot of variation in its color and pattern, though on this Black Mountain clay it always has a warm golden brown base. Sometimes carbon trapping occurs, which creates a cheetah-like effect in the glaze. Its the nature of the glaze to be unpredictable, which is something we like about it. These cups are perfect for your cup of tea or coffee if you prefer large cups! Each cup holds 16 fluid ounces, and are 4" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter. All of our glazes created by us from scratch from all natural and non-toxic materials. All of our ceramics are high fired, making them dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. Made in San Francisco.
