Valve Index Controller and Base Station

Jack of all trades, master of none.Sold with the novelty of finger grips but they're impractical in usage. The Quest/Rift controllers are more comfortable and ergonomic. The Vive wands are better for games like Beat Saber due to their straight grips despite the extra weight.They're the only option for analogue sticks in Steam VR but...The analogue sticks will fail within six months of regular use - three controllers so far in two years and waiting on a fourth RMA as I write this.Valve will require you to send the controller to the Netherlands for RMA and you will not receive a replacement controller under warranty for 6-10 weeks. Their support teams will take several days to reply to each stage of the RMA.Other issues:Curvature of the controller makes it difficult to maintain a central axis in games like Beat Saber.The TMU sensors can be too sensitive for their own good leading to tracking losses when making fast movements - if you use a magnetic gun stock and are using less than three base stations then prepare for tracking errors everytime you reload and snap the controllers back to the stock.
