Gold-Dachs Hungarian Beard Wax 16ml wax

4.5/5 stars.First off, the positive. Has decent hold and keeps your beard in the shape that you want it. I have a circle beard that is longer on the goatee side, and it keeps it from looking like I was tazed in the beard. That said, don't expect it to be a mustache wax. It isn't. It is a step above thick beard balm in terms of holding power.Secondly, it smells really quite pleasant. It is somewhere in the middle of cigar tobacco and vanilla and a creamsicle. It is sweetish smelling, but not overpowering. I have a strong sense of smell and it does not bother me at all.The negative. Honestly the size to cost ratio is a negative. But only enough to pull half of a star. My beard is not huge, so if you need a lot of product to tame your face bear and you are on a budget, this might not be the choice. However, if you only need a bit of product to tame your face forest, look no further.

I have tried several different beard waxes and this is what I've settled on. I have a short (#3) full beard plus a longish (3") thick goatee. My facial hair is soft but somewhat unruly. A little dab of this rubbed on in the morning is perfect and keeps my beard where I want it. Plus I love the smell, which has hints of tobacco and spice but is not strong. The consistency of the Gold-Dachs wax is what distinguishes it, it's more compliant than most of the others I tried and thus easier to work in.

Really small container for the price

I would have given five stars but, there is only one issue I have with this product. That one issue is strength. Everything else is perfectly crafted for the beard and mustache! It has just the right amount of shine, as the light reflects off this newly sculpted facial hair it gives off the impression of a sophisticated gentlemen who may, or may not care about the wellbeing of his beard, but has this look of elegance, a unique blend of shine and fragrance. The wax is a light cream color that will blend in clear with any type of beard texture, length and color. This is perfect for the light red bearded gentleman for not having to worry anymore about having white showing through making others question what they are doing in their spare time.. the strength, on the other hand now, is not up to par for the men who do not have a strong, fierce mustache that flows down the mouth and slightly curls up on the mid cheek as nature intended it to be. Hungarian Beard Wax will have the effect of keeping its strength for some time but falls short of dashing if there is extreme cold or any humidity. All in all, this wax is amazing and worth the money. If you want the stronger, more unique handlebar mustache you might have to use a product on top of this. If you are looking for a product worth your time this my friends will be something you need in your life.Skál!

Smells great but only good for areas in need of a light hold

This is my second purchase of this product, and in all honesty I was hoping for better results. It could just be my type of hair or style of moustache (I have a Hungarian), but after using 1 1/2 jars over the past few months, I have to say that the product does not have the best holding or grooming power, and certainly does not work well in humid weather. For the price of the product, I was expecting superior results. Sadly, not so. I would have much preferred to have written a glowing positive review, but cannot. Still, I do not want to give it less than three stars because it may work great for someone else. For me, a stiffer moustache wax is what I will be looking for. This may have been Salvador Dali's favorite moustache product, but he may have known something i didn't. Will most likely not buy this product again.

This product was only half full, some sort of production issue I think.I'm very disapointed

This was a reorder. I've been using it for 4 years. I find it has a pleasing scent, but this is a medium wax more for grooming a moustache than it is for sculpting.
