Outak 5 Oz Certified Test Weight with Deluxe Case for Pinewood Derby Car or Scale

In my scale, this weighs 5.01 oz, which leads me to my concern - is my scale light, or is the weight heavy? The 'manufacturers certificate' included is a worthless little slip of printed paper, with sections for 'checker' and 'verifier' - both blank. Fortunately I have a buddy who is a high school chemistry teacher who can verify. Houwever, it does come in a nice little padded two part plastic storage case, and it certainly looks the part, so for $20, it's adequate.

I use the weight to check the accuracy of my digital scale.

For PWD this is a perfect comparison making it unnecessary to have a perfect scale. There are so many parents that squabble over the scale values being 0.1oz off and this sets the standard acceptable max car weight value.

And confirmed that it is exactly 5 oz!

Bought this weight to judge our church AWANA Grand Prix cars. I owned a very good digital scale and wanted to ensure that no one could challenge the accuracy of that scale. This weight was on the mark.

The item came as described but wish I had checked prices on E-Bay for comparison, could have saved 1/2 the cost on this item through E-Bay.
