Black, White and Gray Full Sheet Mat Board Variety Pack (25 Quantity) 32 x 40 Cream Core

So when I originally received these matboards a few months ago, the cores looked bright white. But they've already started to yellow. The grey matboards sent are Crescent B535 which is from Crescent Berkshire line which isn't acid free so not archival. Acid will leach into your photographs and/or artwork overtime and will eventually discolor it and make it brittle. If you're looking for acid free matboard, don't buy this. It still works as matboard but it'll damage your artwork overtime.

I ordered a box of these mats and have been very satisfied with the quality and appearance. So far, the mats have required only minor squaring. They're pretty close to square right out of the box. They look great in frames, and we've been getting a lot of good comments on them. The mats have also been easy to measure and cut. The size 32x40" is manageable, and will accommodate most photos with plenty left over. They have a classic, no-frills, gallery look. I opened only the top of the box and am finding it works very well to store the mats, preventing them from being damaged. The only cautions I might add are that these mats are all white-core. There aren't a lot of solid white in the box. If you're going to use a lot of white, I recommend purchasing a second box of just white. If you're wanting something with some visible grain, these aren't for you. The surface is smooth.

Excellent product. The black is "black," the white is an excellent white for the pictures I've been matting and the grey works well with those photos that would be overwhelmed by a bright white or black as the main mat in a double mat arrangement. Delivery was prompt and the matboard arrived in excellent condition. Price is unbeatable; at least I haven't found any other source that can beat it. I'll continue to buy and use this product.
