"I'm Not Good Enough"...and Other Lies Women Tell Themselves Paperback – January 1, 2009

My friends and I are doing this as a bible study. Sharon has such wonderful insights and ways to put things that I immediately relate to what she's saying, and I have learned so much about myself and how I look at myself. This book has gone a long way to teach me about the lies I didn't even KNOW I was telling myself. My relationship with myself and my God has grown immeasurably since I did this study. Thanks, Sharon! You made a huge difference in my life.

I was assigned this book as preparation for being a small group leader at a women's retreat. I feel that I am a mature Christian, strong in my faith and I didn't think this book would speak to me, but it did. I enjoyed all the testimonies that the author used at the beginning of each chapter and was thankful to be able to pass this book along to a dear friend who is struggling with a lot of the issues addressed in the book.

This is an excellent book for woman who are confused and do not understand what they believe is a lie. They have low self-esteem, feel unworthy and think I am not good enough, can't do enough, I am the problem and something is wrong with me . They have no sense of an identity.God does love you , you are worthy and valued and that is the TRUTH. This book is written well and is a good source of encouragement.

Again another book from one of the women of Proverbs 31 Ministries. I receive Devotionals each day and from different women and I ordered this one because it addressed the problem that women are brought up from an early age to believe they are not good enough.Thoughts like 'I'm worthless', I am not lovable.' Nobody would like me if they new what I am really like.'These are lies from the enemy of our souls, who would rob us of our worth,and value as well as our peace and joy, and God given destiny.Through reading, and meditating on God's Word women can be set free to be His precious daughters. In Him we are confident and strong and of great worth and value.Then we can reach out to other women with the Truth of HIS LOVE..

This was a very good book. This book really touched myspirit so many of the stories were situations that I have gone through or I in the battle now. It has helped me to forgive myself because God has already forgiven me when I asked Him the first time. With my new knowledge/wisdom I can better handle the situations/trials that I'm faced with in my life.

Amazing read! I feel much stronger in my faith after studying the Bible lesson at the endLoved how it was broken up and felt it was great for a busy mom to read ❤️

It was exactly in the condition as stated. Good book too.

Am about half way through the book and it has wonderful biblical insights. Been going through a very, very difficult marriage situation for nearly a year and this book helps me to realize that Christ loves me and I AM GOOD ENOUGH even when other people make you believe that you are not.

I was hoping this book would speak to me and help. But most of the stories deal with women who had abortions when they were younger. I have never had an abortion so I felt like I couldn't relate to these women. I understand some of their feelings but for the most part I felt like an outside.I give this book to a local thrift store and hopefully some women will find it and it will help her.

I really like the way Sharon Jaynes writes - it's down to earth and easy to read - although the subject matter tends to touch the heart, which is not always so easy to deal with! But this book has the potential to make a difference if you are willing to work with it. Sharon is also very honest in sharing her own story, and this is very helpful. I will be reading more of Sharon's books.

This book is aimed at christians to help them live a more positive life but I think the ideas in it actually apply to anyone who is feeling down. She writes easily with sympathy and it is not one of those books that make you feel worse as it sets high standards you cannot reach. but a down to earth understanding. I thoroughly recommend it!

Fantastic book which systematically de-bunks all the lies we tell ourselves.Well worth buying and reading, believing and taking on board.

Brilliant! Wish I had read it years ago. So beautiful to have the reassurance of God's amazing love in this world of turmoil and hatred.
