The motion sensor works great. The light is a bit dim to adequately light up a dark closet. I don't think the brightness is actually the issue though. It is because the light is focused in a direction. The angle of the lighting is not wide enough to light up a whole closet when attached to the ceiling. The floor sure is bright though. That being said, I'm still using it and it is serving its purpose until I take on the project of wiring up a permanent ceiling fixture for that space.

I want to save you a lot of time in figuring out the one that you should get. I was on Amazon site literally hours reading reviews etc. before I picked this one. My pantry is 6' long 2 1/2' deep foot 8'high, At first I was afraid to get a light on line because of all the things in the pantry I thought it would not light up the area. My kitchen is a good size and the over head light does not light the pantry up. When the light arrived I thought it was kind of small but oh well I have it so let me put it up. It did the job. The pantry was lit up. At night I could finally see in the pantry. Motion sensor is the way to go don't have to think about turning it on or off. An electrician wanted to charge me $255. to put electricity in & the light was extra. I'm buying 3 more.

Light worked well at first, but after changing the batteries, it started draining them really fast. Same thing happened after a second battery change. Not sure what's to blame, but they're in a closet where I know there is no motion, and now the light won't come on after the second or third time I open the door.

Installed in a storage closet (inside garage) which is only occasionally opened. Tried “day” setting, seemed to work fine initially, but the next time the door was opened the light was faint and continued blinking whether the door was open or closed. Loaded 4 new batteries and reset to “night” setting, again seemed to work fine initially, but batteries were totally dead the next time door was opened, so assumed it reverted to blinking again. As a side note, the instructions aren’t great. The “base” is actually 2 pieces, not one, and each must be rotated to open. The 4 batteries make the unit quite heavy, and 4 mounting holes would have been better than just 2. Instructions show 2 short screws and 2 long screws, but only received 2 screws with plastic anchors. Doesn’t specify what size drill bit to use for installing plastic anchors.

Pretty dim. Good for a small space. Product works as expected. Seller packaged as shipped promptly. I have this in my garage. Gives enough light at night for me to get out of car and get to a light switch.

Super easy to set up. Sensor is very sensitive, and light is activated even when I'm across the room from my closet where I hung it, but it's a small price to pay for such an effective (and easy to handle) light.

I absolutely love this one! I have this one mounted on the ceiling above my shower and it is very bright and looks great! The 3 LED lights give off a bright light and is perfect for areas that are not lit very well. Perfect for bathroom, closet, hallway, stairway, garage and so many other places! Perfect for ceiling mounting or wall mounting. Batteries seem to last a long time and hold the brightness.

I like it because it turns on immediately. It was placed in cellar stairway and as soon as the door is opened its on. I wish it was brighter though.
