These gorgeous high quality clear faceted ametrine tear drops are a blend of amethyst and citrine that occurs naturally in the same crystal. The drops are clear. The teardrops are 18 - 19 mm long and are interspersed with faceted ametrine rectangular beads. Some of the ametrine has more of the purple color and other have more of the golden color. The necklace is 18” around and is finished with a 18k gold vermeil clasp. This necklace is a beautiful statement piece that because of the two colors will go with many things. Ametrine occurs when amethyst and citrine gemstones are found naturally in the same crystal of quartz. These beautiful and unusual bi-color yellow and purple quartz gemstones have been mined in Bolivia since the seventeenth century.
