These gorgeous high quality clear faceted ametrine tear drops are a blend of amethyst and citrine that occurs naturally in the same crystal. The drops are clear. The teardrops are 18 - 19 mm long and are topped with a small round faceted amethyst bead. The earrings drop 1 1/2” from a round 18k gold vermeil post with a floral design. Ametrine occurs when amethyst and citrine gemstones are found naturally in the same crystal of quartz. These beautiful and unusual bi-color yellow and purple quartz gemstones have been mined in Bolivia since the seventeenth century.
