Easy to use, works well
I needed to label my equipment from home, so I could show I wasn’t stealing it from the gym and these pens worked perfectly. They’re easy to use and made clear lines on the black polyester fabric weight straps and weight pads.

Works good
Works good. It`s soluble in water, so it`s not absolutely permanent. But In my case (plastic markings) it was a plus.

Failed Project, Paint Washed Away
Maybe I was using the wrong product for what I wanted to do. I'm so tired of matching mis-matched socks! There are seven grandchildren in my house, a total of ten people. Even if they only wore one pair of socks a day (which isn't the case) that's seventy pairs - or a hundred forty single socks each week that is looking for its twin. So I thought I'd buy all the same socks, only in different sizes, and mark the size on the sole of the foot. The youngest two wear a size 4T clothes, so I put a 4 on the bottom of their socks. I put a 6 or an 8 on the bottom of the next size up, for the kids wearing sizes 6 and 8 in clothing, and a 12 on the sole of the ten-year-old's, who is between a size 10 and 12 right now. After the socks were washed twice, the remaining paint-marked numbers were too faint to read. I thought fabric paint would hold up, but maybe I need to try a white permanent ink marker. If anyone has a better idea - please, let me know! I don't know what else white fabric paint pens would be used for - but if you are planning on washing the item, be forewarned. The paint washed away.

Not exactly permanent but it works fairly well.
I use these to mark my Mother’s dark colored laundry at the facility she’s in. The marks fade after a couple of washing and drying so I have to reapply her name often.

Avoid! Waste of Money
Was dried out when i got it and would not write at all. After I soaked it in water, i was barely able to mark what i needed to, which was a little 1/4 inch x 1/4 inch square. The little ink that was put on the shirt, immediately washed off in machine even though it was advertised as permanent.
