Great for general information but not to be used as a sole form of learning
This book is pretty good as a supplement to when you’re in med school but not as a review book to Soli base your knowledge off for the actual US MLE step 2 exam. The information is very generalized and not enough current material taught to get you anywhere near a good score on the exam. But as a supplement to your subjects while attending medical school I do recommend it for its ease of reading and it’s generalized concepts and easy to learn Numonics.

Do get this
Easy to read book has a lot of essential info on step 2 CK , haven’t taken my test as of yet but I’ll see how I end up scoring it’s has easy to digest material that you wouldn’t find elsewhere, yet it’s not as massive as other books so I will be able to take it wherever without having to worry about the load my shoulder will bear

Organized, concise and coherent
Love this book. I got it before my 3rd year rotations began and haven't really begun to write in it much because I've only had Psych and Family Med so far but I've been referencing it quite a lot for things I can't seem to remember from Step 1. I was really on the fringe when deciding amongst the First Aid and Step-Up for Step 2 CK... I really like the layout in this book better, it seems more user friendly.

Excellent guide for your Step 2 studies
Doesn't have enough detail to be your only source but after adding notes from UWorld, OnlineMedEd and Combank this book was perfect. Use it as a guide to your studies and fill in the missing info. Plenty of room in the margins for notes. Highly recommended!

Not the Review Book I'd Hoped For
I bought this because the author also does a review course about which I had heard good things. Alas, I was a bit disappointed in this book. It's an attractive layout and more compact than First Aid or some of the other review books. BUT it is a bit light on content. What's there is fine, but there are a lot of high-yield bits that are missing. Unfortunately the colourful, attractive layout makes it more difficult to highlight and mark up. Anyone who has ever used these sorts of review books knows that you mark them up a lot with marginalia and sticky notes. The dearth of white space makes it impossible to add the information that is missing to make a more comprehensive review. If you like the presentation and have the time, this might be a secondary review resource.

Great go-to during Step 2 studying
I used this as a quick review of topics between question blocks and when I needed more info than I found in UWorld. It was good to have on-hand.
