Great line. Don't listen to the incorrect negative reviews about line quantity.
This is my second go with Runcl monofilament. It's shocking how thin this line is for it's rated strength, but I've seen nothing during use so far that makes me think it's weaker than what it says. I like using this line for ultralight fishing, the thinness of the line goes a long way in casting very light lures farther distances. If you've ever used Zebco Cajun, this line is kind of like that. It doesn't quite feel like normal monofilament, it has the same feel of being "different" and thinner diameter for it's strength. Almost as if the material is denser compared to other mono. ----- There seems to be quite a bit of ignorance in some of the reviews with this line (honestly with all fishing line, look at any and you'll see this). Spools aren't going to be full. I don't know where people have gotten this misconception, but if you're buying 300yds of super thin fishing line, it isn't going to fill the spool. Not even close, that just isn't how things work. Fishing line is thin, and a very long piece can fit on a small spool. To anyone who has left or is planning on leaving a review stating they didn't get the length they paid for, I challenge you to take the time and actually measure it. Don't go off of speculation or incredulity. You may learn something.

Best mono line I've ever used in 25 years hands down!
My package came in the mail with a broken spool. I originally wanted to return it because I thought the line might be frayed from the broken plastic spool. But then I decided to test it out and Wow! This is the best mono line I've fished with in over 25 years. It's like mono on steroid s.It casts about 50% further with the same weight as the other line. And it's very, very strong.don't try to break it with your hands. It's smooth and doesn't get tangled and oh yeah it ties on easily. I want more of this stuff! I'm planning on replacing all of my reels with RUCL POWERMONO fishing line. I love this stuff. Who needs braided lines. P.s reach out to me RUCL I'm ready for a commercial lol.

I'll update after I've fished with it.
I ordered a 300 yard spool of the 30lb test and a 1000 yard spool of 15lb test, nothing the green color that I thought was high visibility. It arrived this afternoon, and I spooled up my Penn Spinfisher VI 6500 that I use for party boat bluefish and stripers in NJ with the 30. I used the 15 on my SpinfisherVI 3500 and two FinNor LT30 reels that I use in the bays from my kayak. I've used Runcl's braided lines before and it's been fine for me. But using braided lines on a party boat for fish that seem to have doctorates in knot tying won't win you any popularity contests. I had been using premium brand mono and hybrid lines on my spinning reels for years, but I was curious when I saw the deal on this stuff. I will say up front that I always have at least one back up outfit in case of equipment failure, so if this doesn't work out for me it's not gonna ruin my day. Well I thought this green was a high visibility line, but it absolutely is not. In fact it's very hard to see once off the spool, so I can already tell that it'll be useless for detecting strikes on the drop visually. That's strike one. I also noticed that the diameter is noticeably thinner than other lines of the same rating. I haven't tested the breaking strength, so I can't say how close it comes to the rating. Other reviews I've read have said it broke well before the rated weight though. I haven't confirmed that, but I'll call that a possible strike two. In spite of the small diameter, this line seems to have a fair amount of memory, and isn't very limp. It actually reminds me of the first monos I've used back in the late 60s or early 70s... you know, that blue stuff that came off the spool like a steel spring. It's not quite that bad, but I'll update my review after I've fished with it. I will give it a fair chance to change my mind. My initial impression is that it's either gonna be trash or it'll be a nice surprise. Maybe the invisibility, while not what I was looking for, will work out. UPDATE AFTER USING IT: OK. I took a trip this morning and got into some beast stripers. As you can see from the pictures, the 30lb test line was up to the task. It held up very well with no issues. I still don't know what the actual break strength is for the 30lb line, but it handled the big stripers beautifully. It does appear much thinner than Berkeley Big Game 30# which is often the only stuff available in the size I need, but I think it fishes much better than the Berkeley. As I stated earlier, it's definitely not high visibility. It's actually pretty invisible which is great for fishing by touch when high visibility isn't a necessity.

Real Truth....
I ordered the Gold 30lb to match my Penn Slammer 3 on a 9 ft Daiwa 9ft mh rod... As reported by others and I also have experienced line snapping - which is due to the stretch, lately I been fishing catfish largest about 8 -17lbs. It holds at times and snap at others - I understand clearly 30lbs' test was a test but most lines lose about 8% . Nice looking product but...curls up after a fight and I hate when in the back of my mind "I hope this line doesn't break" Perfect for light fish. This line reminds me of Cajun Optix - which has the same issue. In order to keep working with this brand - you may have to pound-up....maybe the 35lb will give me 23lb or to go back to Standard Cajun Red 20lb - a little less worry. My $11.98
