Eyes of Honor: Training for Purity and Righteousness

A great book for every man to not only read, but to meditate on. This book has so many nuggets of truth and simplistic realities that have left me feeling free and empowered. This is a book you may want to read more than once until you start to believe the truth more than the lies that have kept you where you may be today.As someone who can relate to Jonathan and understand the struggle most men battle; trying to remain pure and in good standings with God and his wife; this book has opened my eyes and dismantled the lies I was believing. There comes a time when you get sick of band-aids and things to just cover up the real problem and you're ready for the solution and you don't care how difficult it is or how much it's going to hurt; you just want healing. This is that kind of book and all of your excuses (lies) will be removed and you will see the reality and just how amazing we are in Christ and just how much God loves us. This book leaves you feeling empowered and provides tools to implement change which actually have to do with renewing your mind. I am so grateful to the simplistic realities that Dr. Jonathan teaches and it has freed me of the daily struggle and condemnation that I used to fight.

This book is incredible. It is dripping with the truth of Scripture and beating with the heart of God that inspired the Scriptures in the first place. As a 20-year-old male with hormones, it is so helpful to understand that we are not beasts who live as slaves to our impulses, but free sons of God who were born again (John 3:6) in the likeness of our pure Father. Not only does Jonathan Welton describe this poweful transformation in detail, but he also tells us how to actually LOVE women as the sisters they are, rather than lust after them according to how the devil has convinced the world to see. It's full of theological truth and practical steps to bring our regeneration in the purity of Christ (1 John 3:3) into our experience. I would recommend this not only to men but also to women who struggle to see themselves through the eyes of God, their loving father.

Wow! What an amazing book. Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect from this book when I bought it ( it's required reading for Jonathon Welton's supernatural Bible school) but once I started reading I couldn't stop! Unlike most other books that deal with pornography and lust issues, Eyes of Honor focuses on our new identity in Christ. Instead of beating people over the head with a Bible and telling them to try harder, Jonathon's book offers real help for men who are hurting and struggling with shame. Even as a woman, this book has radically shifted my view of myself, I wish I'd had this book when I was younger! Eyes of Honor is all about tearing down all the ineffective methods and sayings that have been used to "treat" men, leaving them frustrated and hopeless. This book offers so much more than temporary "bandaids" for lust, it's all about changing your view of your own value and shifting your whole mindset. I wish I could give a copy of this book to all the men in my life. Guys, skip a couple burritos at Chipotle and buy this book. I promise it'll change your life!

This book is revolutionary. I have not seen a book put together on this topic in this way before. Dr. Welton is transparent about his own past struggle for purity and lays out a road map on how to truly get free. He begins at the very root, your personal identity, then moves on to changing how we view the opposite sex and lays out a step by step plan to change your thought life. This is the best book I've seen on this topic that not only helps break people free from porn / sexual sin but can be applied over to many other areas of life. I recommend this book more than any other for people struggling in the area of sexual purity. It's truly a life changing work if you take it seriously and work at it step by step.

I'm a 21 year old who has been "fighting" this sexual battle ever since I came to know The Lord at 16...with the sexual past I've had, it has been nearly impossible to win any kind of battle. This book has changed my life. John Welton takes the angle that "our identity precedes our actions". He spends most of the book with who we are in Christ...that aspect of the book has changed me in every part of my life. I have been 2 months clean of masturbation/pornography and I have been set free from my past and who I used to be. I now have 5 of my best friends reading this book because of the change they've seen in me. EVERY MALE NEEDS TO READ THIS. Reading this book in conjunction with Scripture will help free you from these sins and allow you to live a righteous life. You will find out who you truly are in the eyes of Christ...that has made the difference for me

This is the best book I've read on this subject. As one who has been delivered from a demonic sexual appetite, I really appreciated the way the author addressed that true and lasting freedom begins with a revelation of the cross and what Jesus completed there, and then goes to our personal choices in regards to our actions. He also exposes the power we have in Christ to walk uprightly and to live abundantly in Him. Once delivered, we are no longer sex addicts, defeated, or overcome; but are filled with the Spirit of God, and can overcome any obstacle or temptation we are confronted with. As a pastor, I have been able to apply these principles in many counseling sessions, and have seen more positive results than anything I have seen in filters, accountability partnerships, or from therapy sessions.

Every man must read this, it is a necessity. I have always known that the Lord Jesus Christ would provide freedom and this book has been the eye opener and truth bringer when my own understanding fell short. You understand that when the King Jesus the Christ says "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed" he actually means it and our understanding of our identities has been the issue. Truly a must have in every home, every man must read this at least twice and take notes, teenage boys need this, old men need this, every man needs this.

A candid view of the dangers of pornography in our society and the over sexualization of our society and the struggle for men caught in this destructive web. Dr. Welton is gifted christian author and teacher with some radical viewpoints. He openly discusses issues that few evangelicals would dare to touch. This is christianity the way it should be. Honest and healing to all the hurting souls of the world.

absolutely brilliant book ,pure gold , if you are a Christian you really need to read this ,it covers your identity in christ really well it comes from the angle of helping to sort out problems of sexual temptation and how to walk in this world in purity and holiness yet revealing the root problem of our lack of faith in Gods love for us and what God thinks of us.its not just about sexual lust problems but the book exposes the lies of many churches common view of suggesting we are sinners, we have a problem, it takes these negative issues and turns them around showing that we are powerful people in Christ ., Honestly i have been a Chrsistian for 30 years have got into jonathan weltons teaching he really does throw out lifeline in this book for you to get a hold of ,where ever you at in your life i would recommend it for everyone who wants to know the truth of how to walk as Jesus walked. Its not mans efforts to patch up a problem ,its not a method or methods because the author has tried them all and failed accountability! clinics! pessimistic alternatives, no this book goes to what we should be believing and acting on as Gods children, can't say enough about this book it will change your life for the better Godbless in Jesus
