Fits Just Right
My radio/CD player in my 2006 Honda Accord went crazy. It would play intermittently and would even turn on by itself when parked in the garage. I needed a new radio/CD player. I was so lucky to find an unused Pioneer unit at a thrift store for $15. I purchased the install kit and had no problems. It fits just right, looks good, and the wire harness adapter made hookup so much easier. I did make one modification to the harness. The wire harness still connects the always on 12v and 12v. with ignition switch on to the old radio. I was afraid that the old radio might still turn itself on and drain the battery so I disconnected the always on 12v. to the old radio. If you do that then you lose the clock memory and night lights. I connected the 12v with ignition on to the 12v always on connection for the old radio. Now the old radio has no power and cannot turn itself unless the ignition switch is on and I still have night lights.

It does the job
Theres nothing really exciting about using this product. Like you, I was extremely mad that my factory unit failed. I became even more mad when I saw the price for the radio install kit that would replace the factory dash kit. That being said, this product is of great quality and looks great in my 05 Honda Accord. The wire harness kit was a great add on as the installation job requires it. Its a good product for a good price.

Good price, fit well. Kind of annoying to put in.
Cheaper then the metra kit. Fit well. Mine has a little gap between the radio and the kit but I think it’s because my accord has the navigation so it’s slightly a different shape. It’s not that it was too difficult to install, but you have to kind of hold everything together and shove it into the old space. It took a few tries because if I did it slightly wrong the pieces would fall apart. The wiring harness worked great. Had no issues with it. I’d buy it again based on the price. The only tip I would give is to carefully bring the wires all down below the radio and simultaneously push the old radio back in. It was difficult to get everything to sit flush again because the wires kept getting caught in the back. Took multiple tries. This only applies if you have the navigation though. The other model I think you can just plug in from the bottom.

Great product! Easy to follow instructions.
This fits perfectly. The harness matches up with the factory wiring with no problems. The instructions that were provided are clear and understandable. I haven't installed a radio in a car in over 20 years, but with the provided instructions, it only took me about an hour from start to finish. One thing to remember, don't forget to take the antenna plug out of the factory radio and hook it up to your new head unit.

Easy and cheap
Pretty easy fit. Hardest part of the process is getting the old box out from underneath the old radio before install. Works best too if you have the whole kit assembled before installation. Including wiring and radio fitment. I’ve used this same set up a few times now. Easy and cheap.

Easy to use
This needs a diagram for how to put the side plastic pieces in to stabilize the radio in the back. Other than that it fit and works well. The included radio connection worked well and didn’t give me any grief despite it being my first time installing a radio in my own vehicle. The plastic trim cover for the radio doesn’t seem to fit very well, though it could be the radio I chose.

Honda Accord Radio Install Kit
It works great on my 2006 Honda Accord.Installed a single DIN radio for my Honda Accord 2006 using this. The original radio could not play MP3, no bluetooth, no input jack or USB port. It was just outdated. I got the Pioneer DEHX6600BT.In the installation I did not have to remove the original radio but had to get to the back of it to unplug the connector then plug in the new harness. Also by using the included harness adapter my original radio still powers up but I am only using the clock on it. I plugged one end of the adapter to new radio and the other end to the original radio. You do not have to connect the harness to the original if you do not want it to display the clock. Be aware that full power to the original radio is still present except that the speaker wires are no longer connected. They were routed the new radio.
