Tomatin Legacy Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 43% alcohol/vol 5cl Miniature Glass Bottle

I thoroughly enjoyed this bottle of Tomatin whiskey. I found it quite smooth with a hint of floral sweetness. For the price I can heartily recommend.

Yet another incredibly tasting whisky from Amazon and at an excellent price too! Really enjoyed the flavours and aromas coning from this tipple. Really glad I purchased this!

I am enjoying my single malts and am amazed at the subtle differences between distilleries and cask effects. I find this to be a very lovely whisky to drink. The double cask maturation is noticeable, it has a delicate nose a little floral and honeyed. I find it extremely smooth, soft and gets nicer the more you drink ( I am not encouraging over indulgence ) which considering its 43% ABV is all good. I would definitely recommend this Legacy single malt and will buy it again as well as trying more varieties from Tomatin distillery. Very drinkable and satisfying.

I had heard many a good thing about this on Whisky geek forums. I generally don't replace sweeter whiskies. Thats not to say some of the ones i have tried in the past are bad whiskies , it's just my personal taste for more spicy (think Campletown) or full bodied whiskies (think Classic Speysides) when not enjoying big peat or Bourbon. i have purchased Glenmorangie 12, Writers Tears, Green Spot, and AnCnoc 12 in tbe past. none are poor whiskies and i enjoyed them but didnt love them and would not buy again. Tomatin Legacy i would buy again. A wonderful dram , not overly sweet but just the perfect balance of sweetness and lighter whiskies. throughly enjoyed. forget this has NAS its a cracking whisky well worth £30 or under.

No age statement, but I would say 8 yr old. Good mouth feel. The neck pour will be different after some oxidation after a few days. so don’t judge by first pour. A little fruity and floral. It’s a nice whisky for the money & definitely trying a least once

während in Tomatin die Luft durch das kleine Lagerhaus streift, in welchem die 32 Fässer liegen, in denen der edle Tomatin reift. So könnte man sich die Whiskyproduktion vorstellen und liegt in wirklich jeder Hinsicht daneben ;) Tomatin ist sicherlich eine der höchstgelegenen Brennereien in Schottland, hat aber auch in anderen Disziplinen die oberste Liga erreicht. So war es wohl die erste Brennerei, die in japanische Hände geriet. Die Japaner mögen Whisky, neben Destillerien in Japan besitzen sie inzwischen viele Brennereien in Schottland. Tomatin ist eine sehr große Brennerei, die vorwiegend für die Produktion von Blends zuliefert, nur ein Teil der vorhandenen Brennblasen wird überhaupt aktiv genutzt. Nur ein winziger Teil der Produktion wird als SingleMalt abgefüllt, der "Legacy" hat keine Altersangabe und ist damit die preiswerteste Abfüllung der Destillerie. Ich kann hier wieder darauf hinweisen, daß auch durch langjährigen Besitz einer verschlossenen Flasche das Alter des eingefüllten Whiskys (nominell) gleich bleibt, trotzdem: Bitte nicht die bessere Hälfte auf Flaschen ziehen; keine Chance ;) Der Whisky scheint viel, viel länger als die vorgeschriebenen 3 Jahre in Fässern gereift zu sein, die vorher Bourbon enthielten, ein frischer, fruchtiger Geruch, der geschmacklich leicht kernig ist und nicht lange im Mund nachhält; gut gemacht, lecker und preislich angemessen. Eine leichte Schärfe ist da, ich empfinde aber keine Sprittigkeit, ob die Farbe nun "echt" ist oder nicht, ist mir wirklich egal, man muss wissen, daß es durchaus sein kann, daß auf in Deutschland verkauften Whiskys "Zuckercoleur" erwähnt wird, obwohl keine Zuckerfarbe drin ist! "Legacy" ? Nun ja, als wir vor vielen Jahren bei Glenfiddich waren, meinte der Lagerleiter, eine Altersangabe hätte man ja nicht nötig, weil der Whisky auch so toll wäre (stimmte ja auch). Dann hatte fast jede Brennerei nur noch Whisky mit Altersangaben in den Verkauf geschickt, nun machte man es bei Glenfiddich auch .... Pusstekuchen Inzwischen gehen einige Bestände in Schottland zurück, der Hype wird zwar gerade durch den "neuen" Hype auf Gin und Wodka (bäh) abgelöst, aber die Leute wollen Whisky, völlig unberechenbar; diese Kundschaft ;) Jetzt haben viele wieder den Whisky ohne Altersangabe "entdeckt", Namen wie Glenlivet, Dalwhinnie oder HiglandPark etc. etc, klar, kann man machen, ist kein Beinbruch! Eine Ausnahme stellt hier vielleicht Glenfarclas dar, wohl eine der wenigen privat geführten Destillerien mit sehr großen (superguten!) Altbeständen, die sind aber vielfach sherrylastig.... Zurück zum "einfachen" Tomatin: Trotz des inzwischen geänderten Flaschendesigns bleibt es ein ehrlicher Whisky, der sich einen Platz im Kontrastprogramm verdient hat, wenn die Schwiegermutter den 15er Glenlivet vertragen hat, den 13er Craigellachie probiert hat, kann man ihr (an einem anderen Tag) auch mal den junggebliebenen Tomatin anbieten und auf den Dudelsack drücken, den sich jeder Whiskyliebhaber aus Schottland mitgebracht haben sollte.... Vielleicht tut's ja auch eine shakuhachi ;)

Al abrir la botella, me sorprendió gratamente el aroma complejo y delicado que emanaba de este Scotch. Al degustarlo, pude apreciar las notas de vainilla, frutas y madera que le otorgan un sabor equilibrado y exquisito. La experiencia de saborear este whisky es verdaderamente única y memorable. El Tomatin Legacy es suave y sedoso en el paladar, con un final prolongado y agradable. Es evidente que se ha puesto un gran cuidado y atención en la elaboración de este producto, desde la selección de los ingredientes hasta el proceso de destilación y añejamiento. Lo que me resulta aún más impresionante es el hecho de que este whisky de calidad excepcional esté disponible a un precio tan competitivo de 30 €. Esto lo convierte en una opción aún más atractiva para los amantes del whisky y aquellos que buscan una bebida realmente especial para ocasiones importantes o simplemente para disfrutar en casa. Estoy sumamente satisfecho con mi compra del Tomatin Legacy. La calidad, sabor y aroma de este whisky excepcional, combinados con su precio sorprendentemente asequible, hacen de este Scotch una opción inmejorable. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente a cualquier amante del whisky o a aquellos que deseen probar algo realmente especial sin gastar una fortuna.
