SM Bowls Bamboo Salad Bowl w/ Serving Hands: Sustainable set includes large square bowl and matching salad servers

The bowl is beautiful. I'm giving it as a gift because my friend loves my Pampered Chef bowl and tongs that they no longer sell. this one looks a lot like it. I would have liked the tongs to hook on the side of the bowl like the one I have but overall I love the look and feel of the bowl. I'm sure my friend will love it too.

We were looking for a gift to give to the wife's father and his wife during our recent trip to visit them. Our criteria for a gift was pretty much something that could, or at least should, last them for quite some time, add something useful to their household and be used on a regular basis; basically, not a decoration, nothing too formal, as well as not be too fragile or heavy (needed to fit into luggage). While browsing Amazon for different ideas and options, we came across this bamboo salad bowl with serving hands and thought it would be a nice gift.The bamboo is sanded to a nice smooth finish on both the bowl and serving hands. The shape of the bamboo serving bowl helps to keep the salad better centered, even while serving, and helps to keep more of the liquid near the bottom of the bowl. The flaring out at the top also ensures nothing falls out during the prep and mixing. During our visit(s) while on our trip, we were served two different types of salads (traditional lettuce and vegetables for one and a thinly sliced cabbage salad for the other) and all the salads were easy to serve and looked good in this salad bowl. The serving hands made it easy to serve salad and since they are shaped the way that they are, as well as separate from each other, it was easy to be as particular with getting the desired serving of food from the bowl. Based on our understanding, the bowl was easy enough to cleanup after the meals and required minimal effort. We were complimented on our choice of gift by the recipients as well.If you're looking for a modern salad bowl using sustainable materials that looks good too, then this bamboo salad bowl with serving hands is a good buy. Nice bowl, interesting shape and finish. It's not huge, just enough for a good sized salad for two. I also use mine for holding chips and snacks. The "helping hands" are my favorite salad tongs.

I received the bowl and serving hands yesterday and used them at dinner. The bowl is very attractive and stylish. The shape makes it easy to toss salad right in the bowl. It is a perfect size for serving 4 - 6 salad portions; I only wish it was a bit larger, but the size does not detract from the quality. The set came with care instructions, and the seller (Saxeville Market, LLC) sent me an email this morning, making sure I was happy with my purchase and nothing was damaged in transit. Very good follow up! The email included an attachment with more detailed care instructions. My only suggestion would be to include those instructions in the box with the bowl. All in all, very happy with this purchase!

Beautiful salad bowl with functional serving hands that actually help you get the salad from the bowl to your plate. This bowl just adds a touch of elegance to your table or wherever you place it. I am so glad I purchased and the cost is so reasonable for what is received. And the bowl can be used for so much more than salad. You can put your chips in this bowl or buns for the cook out. Multi purpose, elegant, and reasonable. What more can I ask for. Hence, it receives a 5 star rating!!

We've only had this plate for a few months, but it doesn't hold as much as I'd like - it's between too big for one person and a little too small for two people. Furthermore, although I know this is wood, we have been cleaning by hand, and now it is leaking - therefore we cannot use any kind of salad dressing or anything wet in the bowl and will most likely throw it out. It looks like a great bowl, but because it's leaking, we just can't really use it anymore.

LOVE THIS SALAD BOWl w/ Serving Hands. Perfectly sized, high quality and looks great. The hands scoop salad much better than tongs. Please make sure everyone in your house knows that it should washed out and dried immediately. Bamboo should not be immersed in water. I wash my bowl out with a wet cloth, swish the inside of the bowl with a quick rinse and immediately wipe it dry.Second Review: I bought one for my second home. LOVE THIS BOWL! Perfect size for a beautiful salad.
