Good start. We bought this for our 5 baby chicks. We know that it would probably be crowed once they get bigger. Here are a few pointers:-The hinges and latches are very weak. I replaced them with some from the hardware store-I recommend not setting up the roof as they recommend (hinges). We glued and screw the two roof pieces together and let it site on top. Therefore you lift up the entire roof to open the top.-The ramp is at such an high angle that baby chicks may have a hard time climbing up. We had to stable netting to the ramp and this resolved the problem.-We installed latches to lock the main coup to the fenced are (see black latches on pictures)We painted the coup like a barn and installed a windmane we got from Amazon. Otherwise I love the coup and get praise from all our friends

This was not as easy to put together as we thought it would be (of course, that could be a user issue). While it is serving it's purpose and housing three medium sized chickens, it is not as sturdy as I would have liked. You get what you pay for. We painted it barn red so it looks cute.

The chicken coop we received had broken broad. The quality was poor.
