Ash Hoe and Rake, Stainless Steel, 34" Long with Resin Impregnated Maple Handle

We burn a lot of madrone in our wood stove, and that's a wood that tends to break up into chunks of coals rather early in its burn cycle. So during a recent spate of really cold weather, I found myself looking all over the place for a rake I could use in our wood stove when it is blazin' hot, without singeing my knuckles every time. This is the ONE! The long handle makes for safe and easy use, and the nicely finished wood grip is big enough so that you can use both hands, if necessary.Materials and craftsmanship are top notch - FAR superior to any import product I have found.Made in USA and the 15% donation to charity are a bonus!I'd recommend this for anybody using a fireplace or wood stove.

I got this to use for my wood stove, and I am quite pleased with it. For starters, both the steel handle and rake head are nice and sturdy and stand up well to my use. The head is a good size, 7” wide by 3½” deep; fits well in the crannies of the stove interior. Head to handle it is about 34” long, a good length for me as I barely need to stoop to use it. I use the tine side to rake and rearrange hot coals, and the flat side of the head to scrape ash through the ash grate when cleaning out the stove. Well-designed for wood stove use.

I purchased this for use in maintaining my coal furnace. The quality of this product is outstanding. It is designed very well. It is stainless steel with a wooden handle. Very well crafted. The design of the rake / hoe is perfect for maintaining the coal bed in my furnace. Nice to see such a high quality product. Thank you!

You will not regret purchasing this product. It is a very high quality rake. I use it in my wood stove and love it. The long handle is great for keeping your hands from the intense heat of the coals. I would love it if they made the entire set of tools.

My husband was very impressed with the quality of this (he's a mechanical engineer and gave it a thorough inspection!). He's been using it and says it's a really useful tool to have with our wood burning stove.
