The Only Soundtrack I Keep On My iPhone
This CD is almost everything that you think of when you remember Northern Exposure. With a great mix of Jazz and Rock. It's an essential piece of anyone's Northern Exposure collection. I've found it to be appreciated by fans and non-fans alike.1. Theme From Northern Exposure - David Schwartz: The Full Theme from the Show, a nice Jazzy song, very catchy. The whole reason why most people buy this CD.2. Jolie Louise - Daniel Lanois: A slow country/folk like song that tells the story of Jolie Louise. Very easy to listen to.3. Hip Hug-Her - Booker T. & The MG's: It's Booker T & The MG's, what more needs to be said about it? It's a fun old R&B song from the 60's.4. At Last - Etta James: Probably the most famous song Etta James ever did. This song is a classic and should be in everyone's music collection. This song is full of sorrow and love at the same time.5. Everybody Be Yoself - Chic Street Man: This is a very fun, very upbeat song that reminds you have a day out on a Caribbean Island. It's guaranteed to put you in an upbeat mood.6. Alaskan Nights - David Schwartz: A slow clarinet song, but definitely one of my favorite tracks on the CD. It's great for when you just want to slow down and enjoy life a little bit. It's a very somber song, but well done.7. Don Quichotte - Magazine 60: An upbeat song in Spanish. It has kind of an 80's/Techno flair to it, which lends to the eclecticism of this album. It's another one of my favorites.8. When I Grow Too Old To Dream - Nat "King" Cole & His Trio: In my opinion you can't go wrong with Nat King Cole. It's a slow, somber song, very memorable.9. Emabhaceni - Miriam Makeba: A catchy song, I'm not sure if it's an actual Native American/Indian song, but it's fun to listen to.10. Gimme Three Steps - Lynyrd Skynyrd: In direct contrast to the previous two songs on the album, this is a pure rock and roll. This one is sure to wake you up.11. Bailero (from "Chants D'Auvergne") - Frederica Von Stade - This song is very slow, kind of an Opera like song. It's my least favorite track on the CD, but it's not without its own merit.12. David Schwartz Medley: Funeral In My Brain, A / Woody The Indian / Tellakutans: Another one very similar to Track 6. The Medley is a nice mix. It starts out with a nice upbeat Italian sounding intro. It then moves into a slower moving clarinet song, typical of what you would hear in Northern Exposure. Finally it slips into an almost surreal sounding tune that if you close your eyes, you can almost imagine being out on the Alaskan Tundra, under the Northern Lights.

Exactly what I ordered!
This was a replacement for the cassette version of same title. I'm happy it was still available. 😊😊

Received CD today... when I opened the packaging I found a broken jewel case. The break was one of the hinges such that the case will not remain closed (the top cover slides off)... Bummer...Perhaps a little more cushioning around the plastic jewel case would prevent breakage. Then again as it is a new unopened CD the damage could have occurred prior to shipment...The CD itself was not damaged just the jewel case... Will play the CD and update this review...*UPDATE*The CD played flawlessly... A great collection of sounds...

MOM'S SPECIAL REQUEST
The show Northern Exposure was a favorite of my Mom's and she asked me if I thought we could find the music from the show. At 82, she is isolated from the World like we all are in the time of COVID. I was very happy to have found 2 CD's to bring some joy to her indoor life.

Not as good as 1st one
It was good enough. Not every cut was a keeper but most were good-ish. We enjoyed the first N.EX. soundtrack so much i just naturally assumed the 2nd would ba on par, but i was disappointed. The seller was courteous and tmely.

Umm
Ummm...what can I say? Having watched the series I expected some great music from lil' ol' Chris there. This is unusual to say the least - we all burst out laughing when we heard some of the songs. This CD does not relate to the show at all.

A must have for all Northern Exposure fans.
Great soundtrack if you are a fan of Northern Exposure and love the Theme music. It made me want to watch the whole series again, so I did 🙂 Thanks Sky Records for a super and speedy transaction.

A varied album
A good compilation of music, it's good to have the serials soundtrack without having to refer to specific episodes. It has made me investigate some of the artists other compositions

Great tracks on this album.
If you liked the cult classic Northern Exposure and the slightly off-beat characters in it, you will enjoy this album. The title track brings all the memories back and there's a mixture of classic, operatic, cajun and other tracks that will pleasantly surprise you.
