Used to treat my 17+ yr old, indoor, arthritc cat.
I have an older cat that has arthritis in her spine right where her tail connects (confirmed by x-rays). She was having trouble walking up stairs and she was clearly in pain while trying to use the litter box. Poor thing, it just broke my heart to see her so uncomfortable. The pain appeared so bad, I was afraid she might have to be put down. I started giving her Duralactin in her food (1 pill per day) and fish flavored hair ball medicine (both vet recommended). She never seemed to mind the Duralactin but hated the hair ball medicine at first, now she demands it (like a treat). Bottom line, I started to see a big difference after couple of weeks. She has been on both now for about 3 months and is back to running, jumping and playing. I do know there is a possibility that the hair ball medicine may have done the trick, or that some may say the arthritic bones have started to fuse, but in my opinion, based on the speed of recovery, it is the Duralactin. As far as I am concerned, I don't really care, my cat appears to be pain free.

Duralactin feline has helped my cat
I was initially skeptical about this (milk proteins from hyper-immunized cows? seems to me they should be digested in the stomach) but it has actually helped my very arthritic 17 year old cat- she can now go up and down the stairs- still has arthritis, but it seems a good bit milder. It takes a while to act, I think maybe a week or two (it has been a while since she started so I am not sure). The really important thing to me though is that she will actually eat it mixed into some wet food- this is one of the few medicines that has been true of. The other product my vet recommended for her arthritis(dasuquin with glucosamine and chondroitin, tuna flavored) she wouldn't touch the food it was mixed into. Maybe duralactin is more palatable since it is milk proteins. (She doesn't like fish, unlike many cats).

Put the kitten back in my geriatric cat!
I started my 16 year old arthritic cat, Louie, on Duralactin a year ago on the advice of my holistic veterinarian. He was obviously in discomfort, couldn’t jump up on things and had trouble getting up off the floor. After a few months on Duralactin I could see significant improvement. After a year he’s now running around and jumping onto things like he used to. He’s a new cat!

Just more good news
Put my 18 year old black cat on this and, he's back to jumping and running. It's really amazing to see. He's clearly feeling a lot better. I actually give him two of the tablets per day - it costs a little bit of money, but he's been my good boy for a long time and deserves to be taken good care of. He really doesn't seem to mind the taste, I put it in right on top of the wet food I give him because his teeth have gotten bad.Have had good luck with this supplier, got the pills right on time and in good order.

Never heard of ingredients & didn't work.
Didn't do anything for my 16 year old. Went back to dosequin and his leg is better in a week.

This product is wonderful. Our beloved rescue kitty had a severe case of stomatitis (inflammation of mouth tissue )and could no longer eat. She was in such pain she would run from her food upon attempting to eat. Two different vets recommended we euthanize her as it is difficult to treat and very painful. As a last resort and after much internet research on our own we decided to try this product. It really works!!! We also switched her to grain free food but every time she gets a little flare up duralactin clears it up.

My cat refused
I still think it is probably a good product. I have a very picky cat. The capsule is (to me) too big to shove down the cat's throat. The inside of the capsule looks and tastes like a milk product so if your cat likes milk and/or eats wet food, you can probably get it eaten. Unfortunately, mine does not like anything but his dry food and I tried many ways to get him to take this. Fortunately, his pancreatitis abated and he now is fully healthy. I threw them out.

Used to control fever in disabled cat
I have a cat that is unable to walk due to bad reaction to fleas. I have been using this for 2 years to keep her from fever and to help relax her. Great stuff
