Bought 2 of these in Feb 2023. Follow the directions, and it's easy to program. We find it helpful to mark the feeding times with a sharpie so we know how much to put in each (see photos). We also marked the triangles that help you correctly align the pieces with sharpie. Both of these additions make it much easier for cat-sitters and others to follow the feeding schedule and use the feeders too. These automatic feeders have helped a lot with getting the cats to stop waking us at 0500.PROS:- Silent. The feeders don't beep or make any annoying noise when they advance from meal to meal. There is a slight mechanical sound of the feeder advancing, but it's not loud enough to disturb sleeping humans. It is loud enough for the cats to know FOOD TIME! The cats learn to associate the slight noise with feeding very quickly.- Easy to clean.- Reliable. We put the batteries in for back up and we've made it through power outages without having to reprogram. It also retains the feeding schedule, so even if you turn it off, it will remember the feeding schedule you programmed until you reset it. So if you want to unplug it and move it to another room, don't worry! It will remember the feeding schedule when you plug it back in.- Easy to use. It's really easy to confuse yourself when programming this feeder - we sure did. But all you need to do is decide what times you want food to appear (might help to write down the feeding schedule you want, especially since the machine uses 24 hour clock) and then program those times. See the pics for how writing the feeding times on the machine can help. Even the jitterbug phone using technophobe is successfully refilling these feeders now.- AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! We bought 2 of these feeders in Feb 2023. One of them always seemed to fall behind by a minute or more (leading to some cat anxiety!). Then in July 2023, it didn't seem to be advancing the meals correctly. I contacted iPettie customer service. A real human responded to my email within 24 hours. They asked for a few bits of info so they could diagnose the issue. I described the issues and sent a quick video. Within 3 days of my initial email to iPettie customer service, they had solved the issue and sent me a new feeder to replace the malfunctioning one. AWESOME, FAST, COMPETENT, EASY TO UNDERSTAND, AND SUPER FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would happily do business with this company again.CONS:- ummm, well it doesn't come in lime green? Seriously - no cons to think of. The cats and humans love these feeders.

The product itself is fine. Easy to program. Easy to use. (Please note, if my issue isn’t an issue for you, this is a great option).What I find annoying is that there are no replacement trays or ice packs for this model even though it’s advertised as having both. I bought the advertised trays only to find they’re for a different model. I contacted custom service and that’s I was informed that there are no replacement trays or ice packs. They were helpful enough to send me a link to some mini ice packs that fit inside the feeder, which I did appreciate. But I find it highly inconvenient and honestly, pretty ridiculous that it’s designed for ice packs yet there are none. It’s also exceptionally inconvenient that you have to immediately wash the trays instead of being able to replace it while one is in the dishwasher.Overall, I like the design and the product but the above issue kind of ruins them for me which is why gave it 1 star. I bought it for convenience for my 2 cats that are on special diets and it’s just not convenient. If the above reason isn’t an issue for you, this is a great choice.EDIT: iPettie customer service reached out to me and after sorting out the issue, they offered me 3 options to make up for the inconvenience. I chose the refund for one of the feeders and I intend to use that to buy their other feeder that is compatible with ice packs and extra trays. It’s truly rare to receive that level of customer service so I definitely will continue to patronize this brand. I bumped this up from 1 star to 4 to reflect that. I only deducted the one star to try to draw attention to my original issue in case that would be a problem for anyone else. Beyond that, I’ve had a 5-star experience

I got this for my cat so I can separate his wet meals in the morning before I got to work because he tends to eat so fast and would throw up his food and I don’t have time in the morning before work to clean up the vomit and portion his food (and wait) so he doesn’t vomit. I set it in 15min increments for the meals and so far it’s worked (used it twice) and he hasn’t vomited thankfully. Setting the timer is strange but I bought a dry food feeder that had the same specs so I understood how to set the time. The cover was actually difficult for me to open. You can’t open it on your lap, it has to be on some kind of hard surface so the bottom grips onto the floor and then you can rotate the top to open (kinda like opening up one of those pill bottles where you press and turn). Had to play around with it a bit but finally it’s good. I’m nervous about the plastic, I heard it gives cats chin acne but so far so good. I don’t use it in the span of days like others do because I’m afraid the food will go bad but for my purpose for in the morning for my cat, it works well.
