Lucid Grip Clear Spray on Tape

The reason why I'm giving this product four stars and not five or two is because the only thing keeping the glass in the bottle is a sticker... Very poor job on this companies part.The reason for saying two stars is because it came open during shipping and half the bottle of missing... Amazon was great to work with and I managed to get my issue fixed.The reason I gave it four stars was simple it works.. For how long I don't know. My Longboard already had this type of grip on it I sanded down the rough spots cleaned up the board and applied this new grip.It looks better than my old and thicker as well. I bought the medium grip. If you buy heavy I recommend you buy medium first than apply the heavy.Reviews show the heavy being very thick and to me looks like it needs a base coat.I don't know how well it will hold up I followed instructions to a t and did a second coat after two hours of dry to fix the patches..If it holds up my review Will stay if it wears faster than my old grip then I'll lower my ratingI've included the grip before I sprayed and after. The photos don't lie it looks Alot better. I've also included the product and the glass being everywhere.

The dispenser would not allow you to spray on evenly. It kept dropping globs, no matter how much I tried to wipe it clean. The mesh top to try to control the glass disbursement is too small for the size of glass for the heavy stuff too. So I have an empty bottle of glue, and 2/3 of a bottle of glass left. The glass that is on the board is way to easy to knock off, and is obviously not going to last long. The theory is sound, but the execution is bad. Maybe the medium grit with a better spray bottle would work out, but the set I got was a disaster.

We use this product in my business do customized original skateboards. Lucid Grip is one of the best if not the best product on the market. We do everything tocustomize and this Product just enhance our product 10 times we've never had an issue we have put them on over 65% of our boards in different ways like putting glow powder in Glass grip. I am sending pictures of some of the boards that I have used Lucid Grip on. We try to keep at least two bottles of each on hand I know they're a bit expensive but they're a great product I would love to get more.From the president of DR customsDavid Rowe

This stuff is amazing! Bought a Rayne deck and the artwork was just way too amazing to cover up. I recommend watching the video on YouTube on how to apply it. All the complaints I've seen are definitely operator error. Just follow the directions! Make sure to wait about 2 seconds between sprays to keep it from clumping up and spray it like you mean it. If it does lump up just use a paper towel to smooth it before sprinkling the glass on. I sprayed a coat over the glass and then one more after the first layer dried for good measure. Even then I still have enough to do at least one more deck. I'll attach a picture so you can see how amazing this stuff turns out!

The factory spray on grip tape was almost completely gone from my arbor deck and I wanted the same finish. This stuff worked out great, primed the sprayer like it says in the directions and I had no issues. I did two coats and it’s got a nice rough finish, we’ll see how it holds up but there’s definitely plenty left for when it wears away.

So I put Lucid Grip (Medium) on my wife's standard board last night and it was my first time ever doing it. I have to say it is very easy!I've read some complaints about the spray nozzle. At first I was having trouble with it dripping and spitting out rather than a mist. Then, I read the instructions again and it says to wait 2 seconds between sprays or it can clog the nozzle.They advertise that you apply the glue, sprinkle on the glass, then glue again and you're done. I found that I had to do 2 rounds of glass, glue before and after each round, then apply about 3 more layers of glue on top to keep the glass from flaking off.All in all, it was incredibly easy and it is CRYSTAL clear! And even with all of the extra glue I used, there is probably enough to do another board and a little extra to fix patches down the road.

I have an Arbor Axis 40" board. Its grip was getting a little slippy so I was looking to replace it. I bought this product, sanded off what was left of my old grip, and followed the directions to apply Lucid Grip. The result made me scream. It looks as if I dumped a bunch of rock salt onto my board. Yes, the grip aspect of this product worked....but it just looks so so bad. Im going to sand it off and try again, I may just have to (sadly) look into clear griptape. I included pictures of the result. Avoid this product if you care at all what your board looks like

Ive bought the medium grip from these guys before and it worked great. This heavy grade is terrible. The spray is the same and works well but they used the same size holes for the other product so the glass crystals are far too big to fit through the holes so you only get about 2 glass bits out with every violent shake. I asked the company for a refund and they denied it and said just drill bigger holes!
