I received this product well enough packaged and it was not difficult to open it. I am able to use the pads under my socks during the entire day. It feels very comfortable to the point that when I take my socks off, I did not remember that I was wearing them. The only issue I have noticed is that they leave a mark on my big toes, as it were too tight, but it does not cause any discomfort while wearing them.

Do not get these.I am usually a generous reviewer, but I have to go one star here. Do not get them. The design (all 5 toes) is a nice idea, but the padding inside is not gel. It is essentially the thickness of a large bandaid pad. You could slap a cotton ball and a bandaid on the bottom of your foot and do better than this pad. I am not exaggerating. I am very surprised this is selling at all!I had to immediately return them. Thankfully, I purchased another metatarsal pad with gel. It's not perfect, but at least there's actually something in there!Good luck with your foot issues! I'd suggest getting some orthotic shoes in addition to a metatarsal pad (I got cute vionic orthaheel ankle boots! Check them out!)

Only getting stars for the sock design. Love the toe gussets. They really hold it in place. BUT, the pad is so thin, it is practically nonexistent and is totally worthless. I love the sock design so much that I made my own pad by cutting down a gel pad and inserting it in the sock. Works great now and much more comfortable in my shoe than the one given to me by the orthopedic surgeon for my neuroma.

You'll get the benefits of compression only if you have huge feet. The gel pads have helps reduce my foot pain, but I think the price point on this product is a little high.

Seems to help since I walk so much as part of my job. I will have to use it for awhile to evaluate it's effectiveness thoroughly. So far so good.

Probably could have used a little bit more cushion on the ball of the foot - but they stayed on!

This worked well for a sudden case of capsulitis in one foot. Was still able to get my shoe on over these but it wasn't too tight. It provided a little extra support while "pushing off".

My toes wouldn't fit through the holes. Couldn't use them.
