Runner's World The Runner's Brain: How to Think Smarter to Run Better
D**N
A good subtitle might have been, “How To Think A Like Rummer”.
I am a 68 year old who just began integrating running into my power walking less than four months ago. It is easy to realize early on that there is a psychological component to running that is no less important than the physical component. The Runners Brain brings this into focus and offers useful information for any runner, especially those like me who are new to the endeavor.

Interesante
El tema es indispensable para runners. Si bien no tiene la mejor redacción comparado con otros libros del mismo tema, es interesante por el tema que trata.

Excellent
This is a fantastic book! Descriptions and explanations of how to train yourself mentally are helpful and detailed without being too technical. I have put a few of these techniques into practice already and have experienced more relaxed and enjoyable runs while increasing my endurance and speed. Before using these techniques I thought I would never be any faster and would never be able to run long distances without a walk break. I know that I am capable of doing both!

Not Bad but a little Basic.
This is a good book esp. if you are just starting to get into a fitness program or running. For the more advanced athlete I would say the book is a bit basic. I am still glad I read it though as any and all tips are welcome when it comes to training ones brain to "embrace the suck"!!!

I recommend!
I just finished reading the book and I highly recommend it to any runner to see there is more to training than just logging miles. The book has a nice flow that made me ever so intrigued for what is to come. The text format (think font, size) is very readable and easy on the eyes, and the language is very easy to follow.

Grateful for this book
I am getting back into running after not doing it for years and dealing with subsequent weight gain. I hated running after a while so I left. But using the strategies listed in this book has brought me back to my first love in a healthy way. I love it again and was able to accomplish so much in my first time out. So grateful

Fails to satisfy
Interesting but superficial overview of mental strategies and training exercises for runners. Not enough neuro- or behavioural science here to satisfy. Repetitive at times. A very interesting topic more comprehensively dealt with elsewhere
