I threw my Matco long barrel air hammer away after buying this one.
This is the best air hammer I have ever used. As an automobile technician for over two decades, I’ve owned several and used all the top brands. This is the best one out there. Best quality, best performance, and best price (only the cheap generic ones are cheaper and you don’t want those). The short barrel is better in almost all scenarios. It hit fast, is more controllable, and fits into tighter spaces. You can’t go wrong with this one. The bits that come with it are just average, but when I purchased it was only $5 more for the kit with the bits and they are definitely worth that.

Got power
I have ran all brands of air tools and this can compete with them all. I chose this as my replacement of and old gun to hammer off a clutch fan on my 6.7 powerstroke. It's alot more powerful than I thought and I like it having the longer head. Builds up alot more speed. Was cutting into my wrench for the clutch fan nut didn't think it would with it turned down and on tool steel.

Power to price
Works great, I got this mostly to cut off frame rivets on a 80s chevy, pops them right off. This thing works great, the chisel bit broke right near the end of the job but I was able to finish up with it. My compressor could barely run this for 10 seconds so if you have a big compressor it should be better.

Good tool would recommend
Use this air hammer at work chipping cement mixers pretty much daily only wish it came with a flat bit had to buy it separately, but it works great been running it a couple months now I would say the snap on one is stronger just boring it from someone else at work. But for the money it's a solid tool easy to use would recommend a 1/4 inch swivel air quip for it and a hammer attachment just to have it on you. Just good tool simple as.

This is a beast!
I needed an impact hammer to replace my old one and man o man did I find the perfect replacement. I'm gonna tell you...if you ever messed around changing out bits with that stoopid spiral spring that seems to want to tighten up on itself every time you want to change bits....get this IR air hammer and put those worries of changing bits in the past! Just pull back the collar, remove the bit, install the next one and you are ready to rock and roll and be a master blaster in no time at all while your buddy next to you with that ancient spring is still trying to change out his bit. You are silently laughing at him while you are off making money with your quick change Ingersol Rand air hammer. Now, I want to clarify something. In the ad it says this thing is "Quiet." The only time it is "Quiet" is when it is doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Once you pull that trigger, you better have some hearing protection on because your ear hair is going to be zinging from to and fro at a high velocity. Your eyes will water and your nose will start to bleed. You will get a headache. You may even cuss out your own mama. That is only after you press the trigger. Once you put bit to metal, then Armageddon starts. Horses from the next county over starts to moo. Dogs start to meow. Cats start to bark. But then you'll feel the power in your hands and feel like a man (or a woman...or a they....or a whatever the case may be....) You'll feel muscles pulsating in your body that you never knew you had as you put bit to metal. The vibratory shock overwhelms the senses and the hearing protection protects you from the neighbors as they scream and plead with you to stop but you are now in a zen high. But then you let off the trigger and it all ends.Until you pull the trigger again.

Powerful and not too noisy
I had a cheap Husky zip gun, although it did perform ok I felt I needed more punch to speed up the process in replacing some rusty pins and bushing. I glad I got this one now. Those rusty pins don't stand a chance anymore against this tool. I haven't encounter a stubborn pin that I had to heat ever since, and frankly, I might never do considering how it has become super easy. Pricey but definitively worth it. Comes with a carrying case that could be much smaller though.
