Great idea poorly executed. When we got this cover we discovered that not all the latches had been installed properly. We even took it to a dealer who installs BAKflip products and they corrected some things but left others undone. The design is great but the execution was pretty poor. That being said, I don't worry about water in the back of the truck and it is secure. The way it is made allows car washes that spray water horizontally to get a little water in at the tailgate and driving down dirt roads this doesn't keep the dirt out but what does? Really, no complaints about the design just the execution in building ours was pretty bad.

Loved the look of this cover for 3 yearsBad idea in cold winters like WI. Mine lasted just about 3 years then the vinyl cracked at the joints. If water gets under the vinyl layer which it will eventually, it will freeze in winter. Once frozen the cover is useless. It does not open or close well. It gets very stiff at the joints due to the ice in the vinyl. Unfortunately it was necessary for me to open and close my cover when it was frozen and the vinyl ripped. Now It looks like garbage.If you don't need to open it in winter you may be fine. But beware if you do you run the risk of damaging the vinyl layer.

I bought a new 2014 Ram and needed something for the truck bed. My last truck had a fiberglass lid and that kept things dry but was problematic when hauling bigger items. I spent three or four weeks looking at many types and alternatives and settled on this unit from Bak. The unit came well packaged and was easy to install. It fit great and works like it shows on their website videos. I ordered through BestInAuto who is an authorized dealer so no warranty issues (I called Bak and confirmed this). Now BestInAuto showed it in stock and I thought I should have it rather quickly (Illinois to Ohio) but come to find out it is shipped from California so just know that when you are ordering. Taking my time, it took me about an hour to install from unpacking to finish and I am very happy with the unit. It should be quite water tight and I really like the look on my truck. The price was right, but I did find that that it would fluctuate in my cart quite often ($589 to $748) so that was a bit irritating as I was trying to commpare my options and getting questions answered via e-mail can take a day or two.

Installed this on a 14 Ram 1500. Very nicely packed in the box to avoid damage. Install was easy but a little more in depth than most trifold tonneaus. The only reason for the 4 stars is due to the panel at the rear by the tail gate. You have to open this panel in order to close your tailgate. If you don't you run the risk of damaging the seal and panel. It's something I will have to learn and get used to but if I had know that beforehand I probably would have bought a different cover. All in all good quality cover. I purchased it open box from east coast jeeps here on Amazon. Save a good amount that way. Cost was 655 shipped.

Great looking cover! I love that my truck bed is secure. With the factory power tailgate lock it will take a significant amount of effort to break into the bed. Easy to install. Functions well. The only complaint is that it doesn't seal very well at the front of the bed. The only time anything got slightly wet in the bed was going through a car wash or when I pressure washed the truck. Some thick foam weather stripping will fix this. It was definately worth the money and I would purchase this product again in a heartbeat. I plan on putting one on every truck I ever own.

Very high quality, sturdy and it fits perfectly on my Ram 1500. It feels exatly like the G2 version but thanks to its vinyl looking top it looks better in my opinion. Yes, it is not cheap but it worth its price. If you are hesitating, don't! Buy it and enjoy it.Update 9/21/17: Honeymoon phase is over...After a year and half the top layer started bubbling and looks really cheap now. Does not seem like they used a proper adhesive for the top layer. It still functions well, just wish the top would look better. After all, this is the reason many people bought this over other tri-fold covers.

Immensely increases the utility of a truck bed. Keeps stuff out-of-sight, mostly dry and relatively secure. Keeps light stuff from flying out when driving. And it looks great, to boot. Not sure how I managed without it for so many years.One word of caution: the manufacturer's warranty information in the box states that their covers sold on Amazon (& ebay, craiglist, etc) are NOT covered by a warranty. This should be stated in the Amazon listing! I usually refrain from buying from companies that impose arbitrary and ridiculous policies such as this, but unfortunately I was unaware until I opened the box. Too much hassle and expense to send it back, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that I do not need warranty service.

Purchased this cover Sept. 22, 2016. So it's just short of a year. Today went to put something in my back seat and noticed a sag in the hinge closest to the cab. So decided to flip the cover open and noticed that 3 of the 4 panels are delaminating on the bottom side. I've never placed anything more than probably a helmet on the cover so weight on it wouldn't be the issue. I live in south Louisiana and I know it's hot and humid almost everyday but my truck stays in my garage majority of 2 out of 3 days. This product definitely should last more than a year for $800 or more .

Would not buy a Bak product again, it fell apart after two years with very light use.

Same experience as some other reviews I see. Just after a year it started to fall apart. Starting to separate and "sink" in spots. Would not recommend. Bak Industries wont warranty any items purchased on Amazon.
