I had to have a surgical procedure and decided to try taking this, along with my other recommended supplements, in the hopes of keeping any scarring or undue stress on my skin at bay. I checked with my surgeon and he was fine with it, though unfamiliar with the product. I am now a couple months from my procedure and I cannot even find some of the incisions. Obviously, I can't point to this product as the ONLY factor that helped keep me from developing any keloids, infections, etc., but I can say that in combination with all the other things my doctor had me do (drink lots of water, keep up with my regular vitamin regime, get plenty of rest) I put my skin through a stressful situation and I healed well and my skin looks good at the surgical sites. The purple-ness of the incisions has almost completely faded. I would certainly check with your doctor, but for me, I was happy with my overall results.
