OXO Steel Pie Server, 1 EA, Silver

This pie server I purchased a few months ago seems sturdy enough and hasn't shown any noticeable signs of wear or rusting, thus far. I only hand wash because my abode has no dishwasher. I also live in an environment where things corrode and rust much faster than other places I've lived, so keep that in mind.I can appreciate the hook hole on the bottom for using when air drying or storing. The handle is comfortable to hold in my hand and grippy enough, as well.The weight is just right and I enjoy the serrated edges that assist with supplemental cutting and separating of stubborn pieces that get stuck together. Very universal size for a variety of foods to serve with.If you notice the rounded tip, I've found it to actually be a nice addition (that I was not anticipating) to better protect and avoid marring or scratching my pans and dishes, it can assist with gently clearing stubborn corners and carefully cutting into harder crust edges.I find myself wanting to reach for this server for meals and desserts each week, and have used it more than I thought I would want or need to.Only thing, which is obvious to me and not a deal breaker--since I thought of it BEFORE even considering purchasing it--is that the serrated edges could potentially scratch enameled and non-stick surfaces, as a heads up, so use the server with discretion.Living in a very isolated area in the world, I have to be more choosey about items I purchase since getting packages out here is more of a challenge, and this item has not disappointed, as of yet.Overall, happy with purchase.

I like baking pies and cakes and always get frustrated when cutting and serving. I’ve tried various serving knives, cake cutting knives, kitchen knives and forks and spoons, and was always disappointed when part or half the piece would fall off.I decided to buy this on a whim after seeing it flash across my screen. I should have gone to OXO from the start to look for great kitchen tools! It serves and cuts cakes and pies like a dream. But it also works for serving other dishes too! I used it for quiches. And also for serving baked salmon.The tool is weighted perfectly to have enough heft to cut through things, but not so heavy it destroys the food. It also has serrated edges that are very multi-functional. Finally the material doesn’t allow food or icing or fruit filling to stick to it, which means smoother serving situations.It says dishwasher safe like all OXO products. I tend to hand wash a lot of my nice tools, but do feel comfortable running this in the dishwasherNever have to look for another cutting and serving tool ever again!

My husband loves pie, so naturally I decided to purchase a pie server because it makes cutting and serving pie a more convenient process than simply using a knife. There are many pie servers out there, but I did my research and decided to go with this product. The server looks pretty fancy, but it also functions well. The serrated sides really allow for perfect cutting and it has a comfortable grip that does not slip. It is every bit as durable as it looks. I have used it successfully for homemade pie, cake, lasagna, and pizza (I'm glad I don't have to purchase a pizza wheel). This OXO pie cutter is easy to clean and use than a spatula when serving foods like lasagna. The only difficulty I've had with this product is that it doesn't work well for cutting large cakes, deep-dish foods, or foods that may require big slices...but that's really not what it was designed to do so I'm not taking off a star for that. I have owned the pie server since February 2014 and I am very happy with my experience thus far.

We saw this on Cook’s country when they were doing a review of pie servers. This was their number one selection. It was cheap enough and it’s very sturdy. I make a lot of pies and this serves as well..

This is a fantastic pie server. The serrated edge works great for cutting slices of pie without needing to use another utensil. The handle has a nice wide shape and rubber trim that allow for a comfortable and secure grip. This is almost a perfect pie server. The one area I do not like is the material of the utensil. The metal is a bit soft so it will have some bend; I can't tell if this is a design feature or a way to cut down on cost. It's definitely not as sturdy as my mother's stainless steel pie server that seems to weigh twice as much, but at $10 this is a fantastic deal. I don't anticipate it breaking any time soon, but on the other hand I don't anticipating it lasting a life time.Overall this is a well designed and well constructed pie server at a competitive price point.

I have used many pie servers and this one is much superior to others. It slices cleanly into pies which makes each slice easy to serve. It is very well made.

After seeing this product recommended on America’s Test Kitchen, I decided to try the OXO Steel Pie Server and it is a winner. Cuts the pie cleanly and slices do not fall apart. A member of my household prefers pie for dessert so it has been used almost daily. Haven’t used it on nonstick surfaces.

I am generally a fan of OXO products mainly because it is clear they are very thoughtful with their designs. This pie server checks all the boxes. I couldn't figure out why the end has a circular shape, but after using it a few times I noticed the circular shape cuts the crust really well. Excellent product.

Item was delivered in timely manner and as pictured. I used it to cut and serve a four layer cake and found it managed well. Additionally, it is comfortable to hold. At one time, I used silver cake slices, but this one is modern and unfussy and far better.

Looks great and the serrated edge cut really well, it's just not as flexible as I would like to get under a pie slice. If you are trying to get it out of a pie dish the first slice comes out in pieces, following slices are better though. Does work well if the pie/ cake is out of the dish/tin and you can just slide it under.

I bought three of these for serving spoons for a buffet. They are very sturdy and well made. The rubber on the handle makes them easy to use and is comfortable to hold. I would buy these again if I ever need more spoons. If you are buying them for basting the handles are shorter than most basting spoons so could be tricky with a large hunk of meat in a big pan of hot juice.

I was hoping this would be quite 'bendy' like the one I inherited from my nana but it's blade is quite stiff with just a little give. Still good, but would be even better if it could flex more to scoop
