Worked great for our sleds
I used the tool to sharpen 3 sleds. Snow cover isn't great in our area, so we end up grinding down our carbides on a lot of pavement. Without a lot of effort, I can see a noticeable difference in the runners after using this grinding tool. The rounded edges now have a distinct rectangular edge on both sides of the carbide. I have yet to run the sleds (no snow yet!) but I’m pretty confident that sharper edges will make a big difference in our marginal riding (icy/paved) riding conditions.

Worth every penny
Not the best example bc these are older carbides and it’s a maintenance tool and not rebuilder LOL buuut new are in route so tested out the new tool and we are impressed!! Definitely can see a difference running it over them for 20-30 seconds !! Recommend this purchase ...

Not the best solution.
Using a battery powered drill and a as instructions the tool was dead by the third carbide. Another issue is that it only makes the carbides about 80% as sharp as new ones. Based on the way the tool is shaped internally that's all it's going to ever do. Conclusion, due to the design the tool is not capable of restoring used carbides to a similar to new state. Better off buying a cheap set of carbides.

It worked fine, my carbides were pretty dull so it took quite a while to get an edge on them again. It will be interesting to see how long the tool will last it seemed like I wore a lot of the sharpening stone off.

This is the worse product I’ve ever seen,worked for one sharpening and its shot.I am an electrician for 35 year and use sharpening tools all the time.68 dollars for this POS.i want my money back.It only got one star cause i had to!

I buy inexpensive carbides from Royal in Ontario and when I use this I stay planted and corner like Iam on rails it is confindence inspiring and if you forget it and need it it makes you feel like crap and ruins the day I know lol
