Fantastic book
What an excellent depiction about the life of a medical student, resident, and attending staff. Dr. Gupta captures the esssence of what all medical students experience during their training - from the ethical dilemmas, to disclosure of errors, to the commitment of excellence, all the while keeping in mind why we all started this journey - that we want to help others. I emphatically recommend this book to ANY medical student, regardless of if they want to pursue opthomolagy or not. It is an easy read, disarmingly genuine, and a must-read for all trainees, and staff. I am an attending, and I still found that this book gave me ‘pearls’ to apply to my practice. Way to go Dr. Gupta. Excellent book.

Eye-Opening Novel
I read this novel during my fourth year medical electives and found Dr. Guptas written experiences to be very relevant. It is an easy read, and provides readers with support and valuable advice for the difficult times on the path of becoming an ophthalmologist. It was enticing and difficult to put down, some chapters really spoke to me on a very personal level, and I expect that all of them will at different parts in my training. Overall, I'm very impressed with the quality and relevance of this novel and I expect to be revisiting it many times in the future.
