Great hip compression
I’m a road runner and have recently been diagnosed with mild arthritis (hips, back, and knees) as well as hip bursitis. I wore these today and managed 5 miles with comfort in the glutes and hips. I’m 5’5” and have very narrow hips (and thin legs) but a menopausal belly/waist! The small fit well. Compression felt great in the back and hips though not great knee compression for me!! A worth -it purchase.

WOW! As good as they claim!
I am a marathon runner. I wear knee supports just to support my knees. They keep the blood circulating and prevent muscle strain.I bought these pants two weeks ago and have already put in about 50 miles with them. They are GREAT! The support is so amazing. However, I will tell here, what NOT to do. During a 22 mile run a week ago, I decided to add my knee supports along with the pants at the 12 mile mark because I did not want fatigue. MISTAKE! The pants have SO much support already, that the two combined created severe cramping! And, I am saying tremendously severe. I immediately had my knee supports pulled off (I was unable due to the cramps). I finished the next ten miles with my muscles seizing and cramping most of the way.The next day, I had sore muscles, but still ran, and this continued for three days. I wore the pants every run. Then, the pain went away, and I felt great. I have not had any trouble since. Yesterday I had a GREAT 13 plus mile run. No problems. I cannot recommend these pants enough. I don't know if I will ever run longer distances again without them.I weigh 135 pounds and am 5'3" tall and have size small. They fit perfectly! And, I also got the CW-X Women's CW-X Versatx Support Bra. Again, amazing product! CWX has truly done their research to know how to make what runners need. My old system was two bras, and they created sores and retained so much sweat, I am sure they weighed over five pounds after a run. With this bra, no sores or chafing whatsoever, and it does not retain the moisture! It weighs nothing after a run. I am a new fan of these products. Very much worth every penny, and I am very careful with how I spend.

Much thinner material, not as sturdy
These are a re-do of the cwx compression tights that have been sold on Amazon for a couple years. This new '3.0' version still has plenty of compression overall, but the fit is a bit tighter around the tummy and waist. I notice the waistband more, and it's almost uncomfortable. I have a brand new pair of the original cwx tights and they don't have the tighter waistband fit issue. My biggest problem with this 3.0 version is that the material is noticeably thinner and just does not feel as sturdy. I don't trust them not to rip at the bottom of a heavy squat (I had one pair of the original cwx tights rip straight up the seam from knee to inner thigh. Not fun. But, that pair was old and had been washed ~100 times). I might appreciate the thinner material in summer, but I definitely prefer the original version. This applies to both versions-- the elastic waistband is about three feet too long.It would be easier to deal with the extra yard of material if the elastic band was black. White elastic kinda sticks out against black tights. Stuffing a yard of elastic band down the front of my tights kinda ruins the look.

best running tights.
I run 2-3 miles a day. after a lot of research these were the best fit since i needed them for my knees. i am 4' 11" or 5' depending on the time of day ha! so naturally, the knee slots dont really line up but since these are tight, they stay in place. i fold the bottom up to just below my knee came to give my needs a little extra support to keep them up. i got an extra small, i am 112-114. they are tight but thats how they should be. i was a competitive swimmer and these are like the fast skin suits. takes a while to get on but once they are on, they work as they are supposed to. i dont feel any of my muscles moving when i run. its great. also when putting these one, take off any rings and be careful with the nails. i almost had a close call with my wedding ring. would be super easy to tear these with a ring on. the draw string i put against my tummy the first time i ran. dont do that. i ended up rubbing it so hard it cut my stomach a little. so now i put the end of the draw string in that little pocket on the inside of the tights. works good now. also it has the ab support. WOW. first time i ran, my abs were burning! i guess i was working out my abs at the same time! working out muscles i didnt even know i had! overall, great tights. i will purchase another pair in the future. they are expensive but my reason was i would rather spend a little to have my knees supported then keep running, get an injury, pay for doctor bills and whatever else when i could have just purchased these to help me out.

Poor fit, itchy seems, not durable
I'd have given these two stars because they are generally wearable, but went down to one because they are priced so much higher than better competitors. First, the fit is awful. I went by the size chart and got a medium. I am 5'3" and 135lbs. The knee "support" area starts and inch BELOW my knee, so is useless. The tightness is fine. Any smaller would probably be too small, so if you are shorter than say, 5'6", don't count on the knee area being anywhere near your knees. Second, the seams are extremely uncomfortable and itchy, both around the waist and going down the legs. The crotch area likewise is not very comfortable. Can't imagine wearing these a long enough run to have chafing. Lastly, I've had them only a short time, only run in them, never put them in the dryer, wash only on the most gentle cycle, and they are already frayed and pilled around the seams. I don't recommend these at all. Underarmour makes a much better-fitting and more comfortable compression tight.
