I didn’t buy this for baby-proofing — I got it specifically to keep my cat and dog from sneaking into places they shouldn’t, like my sliding closet and patio door. Our house has a sliding door down to the basement and my cat loves to open the door to go down there. We got this stopper to keep him from opening the door whenever he wants to though and it works perfectly! Problem solved.

I have a sliding closet door that my cats are obsessed with opening. This was a perfect fix. It went up extremely fast and easy and seems sturdy.

I wouldn't rely on this to keep children safe. The tape that they send with it doesn't hold very strong. It will pop off if the door or window is opened hard enough. I use it to keep my cats out of the closets. Although it is a great idea and design. Easy to install and use.

This was recommended to me by a friend. Our cat keeps trying to get into our closet so this product keeps more than just toddlers and children from being able to open sliding doors!

I had to get this because my cat kept opening my sliding closet door TTIt's very effective at stopping her, and I've had no issue with the stickiness or opening the door.

Waste of money and now have to repair the damage left. I applied the adhesive as described, waited over 24 hours before actually using the lock. This was the VERY first time the lock was engaged and the first time my 2 year old attempted to open the door, and honestly quite carefully. Seems like a neat design but I definitely would have appreciated being able to attach it with more than just adhesive. I’d rather repair the drills holes after I’m done with the lock that now have to repair this damage in our new home, without a working lock.
