Good quality
Arrived quickly. Seems to be good quality and fresh but I am not an expert on mustard seed. I used this to make homemade mustard, which turned out well.

Fresh and well packaged
These are quite delicious. Well packaged as are all Spice Way products, and fresh upon opening. I like that the excellent packaging can be re-closed easily. They also always send a generous amount. Super savings for the price! I am a great fan of Spice Way and will continue to purchase their products. Will purchase this again when needed.

Definitely enhanced flavor but not strong
This brown mustard seed is pretty good compared to the other ones. I had some black mustard seed which is weaker than this.

Add hot water to your mustard mix to keep the heat/spiciness of the finished product down
Used for stone-ground mustard. Nicely packaged, resealed well, easy to extract by the measuring tablespoon. Yielded a flavorful, but not hot, mustard (100% of the mustard was this seed, no other added). I used ~130'F water. Next batch (in a few months) I'll try 55'F water and see how hot it can get. Recommend for trying DIY stone-ground mustard mix. (Tip: use champagne vinegar and honey. I personally hate tarragon, but you could use tarragon vinegar.)
