Amazing value and good quality, works well

My mower had been 'hunting' for ages and I removed and cleaned the carburettor at least twice with no improvement. After putting up with the 'hunting' again I finally decided to buy the Hippotech kit and fitted the new carb and air filter and it worked perfectly first time. How they do all the parts in the kit for that money I'll never understand, amazing value.

Fitted to my ailing Honda lawnmower engine. Fired up first time and runs very smoothly now.

Firstly, I installed the new carburettor in my mower today and it now runs perfectly! I am as impressed with this package, especially the price, as everybody else.I did not use the fuel filter, and I had recently replaced the air filter and spark plug, so I cannot comment on those three items.The new fuel hose is the perfect length and the clasps at either end are better than what came with the mower.One of the gaskets didn't have a hole in the right place. Thankfully, I was able to reuse my existing gasket.Due to how awkward it is to put the carburettor back on to the mower, I purchased two bolts from the same supplier. They were longer than the existing bolts so I couldn't use them. Maybe I could have sawn the ends off, but I didn't fancy that.Those bolts didn't come with a nut so I also purchased two nuts (when I was planning on using the new bolts). Those two nuts did prove invaluable when I was putting the carburettor back together again. You can put one bolt through everything, in the correct order of course, and then put the nut on the end, to hold it all in place. You can now connect the spring and cables, without it all falling apart, before putting the other bolt through and connecting it to the engine.

After taking the old carburettor off several times, meticulously cleaning the jets, sticking it through an ultrasonic cleaner and using bad language to get it reassembled on the mower...I gave up and bought one of these for the cost of three pints of lager.No more hunting and surging engine revs and the kit even includes a new spark plug, air filter, fuel hose and a dose of sanity.Just got to cut the grass now and throw the old one into the approved carburettor recycling bin! Don't damage the original assembly gaskets because not all of them are supplied in the kit and an airtight seal is essential for continued sanity!

What can I say . I fitted it to my Honda which tbh never ran well from day one . The mower is now running like a dream. Absolutely brilliant.

I was a bit sceptical at first, due to the price, however this worked incredibly well, my mower has never run so well, excellent value for money. Works a treat!

Excellent purchase: a fraction of the cost of a Honda original carburettor (what's more, came complete with gaskets, fuel pipe and air filter) and easy to fit. My mower started at the first pull and now runs as smoothly as it did when new. Clever, those Chinese!
