Unfortunately my wife has just come down with a medical condition related to tinnitus. Among other things, this problem has ruined her sleep, causing her to awaken several times a night and then having difficulty falling back to sleep.She saw a neurologist who suggested, in addition to being tested in the next week or so, she should get a white noise machine.We came home from the neurologist's office and immediately began looking here on Amazon. I looked (on my computer) and she looked (on hers). I had picked about six of them, including this one but she picked this one only. She said that this < Housbay White Noise Machine with 31 Soothing Sounds, 5W Loud Stereo Sound, Auto-Off Timer, Adjustable Volume, Sleep Sound Machine for Baby, Kid, Adult -Wood Grain > is just what she wanted. It does not have a nightlight, which we do not need or want, and its wood-grain design is very nice and fits well into our bedroom.I immediately ordered it (around 4:00 PM) and, with Amazon's amazing shipping, it arrived around 8:00 PM that evening!We have now used it for two nights running, leaving it on all night. Her preferred setting is White Noise, Lowest Setting with a fairly high volume level.It has been helping her. She has been able to sleep for a much longer period of time and, when she does awaken, this machine overcomes the tinnitus-type problem.I had thought that having this white noise throughout the night would interrupt my own sleep but such has not been the case.The device appears to be very well-constructed of high quality materials and its design is superb. I do not know if the case is actually constructed from wood but, if it’s not, it’s the best simulated wood I have ever seen or felt.We are both very pleased with this device. There are two recommendations I could make to the manufacturer: 1) I wish its auto-off timer had options of 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours, instead of 1, 2, or 3 hours (though we have been leaving it on all night - I just turn it off manually in the morning when we wake up), and 2) I wish its power input port were a standard USB C port rather than the non-standard one it uses; the port it uses would make replacing the cord, were it ever necessary, to be very difficult.However, regarding the last suggestion, the included power cord seems to be very robust and, as we take good care of our devices, I am sure that the cord will last for the life of the machine (which I hope is a very long time).I especially like the fact that it runs solely on AC power and has no built-in non-replaceable battery. (When those batteries "die" in some device - and they WILL die eventually - that's the end of the device, even if it is still working well.)Not that this attribute is too important to us, but this machine has many more (and many more good) sound options than any of the others at which I looked. (Of course the one we use is my wife's pick.)As I mentioned above, we are very pleased with this white noise machine and I will VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT to you.Especially at its price, just $26.99, Amazon's current price, I regard this machine as a genuine bargain.If you need or just want a well-made and well-designed white noise machine, I hope you'll consider this one. Great price and fast service. Have not used it enough to provide a full feedback yet. The sounds in this system are clear and pleasant to listen to.

I suggested to a friend she might want to get a sound machine for her house. After being at her house and hearing hers I came home and ordered it. I have multiple sound machines. This by far is my favorite. Especially for the can wave sound. It’s so nice and rhythmic. It has great sound quality & allows me to sleep better. The size is perfect. It’s portable. I take it with me when I travel. The buttons are easy to see & use. It seems to be a good quality. I’ve had it a while now, it’s on 24/7 and the looping seems good & no distortion with the speaker. I highly recommend this item for yourself but also as a gift.

UPDATED 12/19:Just ordered another one for a friend I loaned mine to and was expecting it to be used as a fan simulator, but after hearing the sounds it offered he decided to take it to his office and enjoy the ocean and rain as ambiance while he was stuck at work.Once again, I HIGHLY recommend this neat little device. It's good stuff!Original post below:HOUSBAY - Glows, nightlight and sound machine is a very well made product and I bet it is an industry leader for quality, features and simplicity compared to others out there.For starters, I have to commend the instructions for being simple and to the point. Always nice when using an unfamiliar product.Actually, there is no real need for instructions, as you can just turn it on and figure it out very quickly. Simple device with really impressive performance.There are many sound and light options.I like the fact that there are separate controls for the fan and white noise modes. Classy. Both have several options to get as close as possible to one's preferred sound.I purchased this because we occasionally have company that are used to a fan to sleep with. We do not, nor have one of those. I have confidence this may satisfy that need, and mayb ween them from an entire fan to travel with to one of these multi-functional units.The individual lights can be dimmed and made really bright.I like the red, or green when listening to Thunderstorm rather loudly, like it's real. Right to sleep I go.Multi-color changing light cannot be dimmed.The 1,2,or 3hr timer is the key. I put it on for an hour and never hear any more than 10 minutes.Killer little device.It runs USB and comes with a 120AC plug, but have only used it via laptop sleep&charge port. Worked great.Only thing I wished is they could have integrated was a USB chargeable battery so you could just throw device into baggage and roll. But USB battery backup/charger stations can make it just as portable.Good for guests needing fan sounds to sleep, every night sleeping with different sounds, ambient room sound and light, and power outages and camping.Highly HIGHLY recommend. HOUSBAY makes great products that are sleek, subtle and well styled for almost any environment.Great company, great product.

We’ve been using the Housbay Glows White Noise Sound Machine for over two years and it still works great. It’s a dependable little machine that does exactly what we bought it for, helping with sleep and relaxation.The 31 sound options offer a nice variety, and the colored nightlight is a great feature for kids. While the sound quality isn’t the greatest, it’s good enough for its purpose. If you’re looking for a simple and durable sound machine, this is a solid choice.

I have had a hard time finding the right white noise machine, this one is great! The fan sounds are perfect, and the other sounds such as water and fire are nice additions. The volume goes up loud which is nice because we have noisy neighbors. It has timers or you can run it constantly. The size is compact and the wooden style is cute. Love this. Bought a second one to have on hand.

Bought for my husband as a birthday gift and he actually loves it! It is small and fits easily on his nightstand. Very affordable. He is finally getting better sleep.
