simple Velcro
Would like to see it with a little padding, so when your wearing it sleeve-less it would be a bit more comfortable. Very hard to tell from the image, but it just a strip of Velcro that passes through a plastic ring and folds back on itself. Just a simple design really and maybe cheaper than buying a roll of Velcro yourself.

This is a great addition for anyone needing an economical strap while participating ...
This is a great addition for anyone needing an economical strap while participating in whatever activity that requires a GoPro. This remote strap is sturdy and secure as I have used it many times during skydiving. Do realize that this is only a strap and not a cover/case for the actual wi-fi remote. This is a great deal for anyone that wants to have his/her remote strapped to his/her wrist.Pros:Sturdy build and secure - has not failed me in both skydiving and windsurfingCheapEasy to install - just loop it into the wi-fi remote's loop openingsCons:None really - you may want to buy separate case/cover for the wi-fi remote if you want to protect it from minor damage/scratches. This is just the strap.Again, this is a great item to have if you want a cheap yet sturdy strap to secure your wi-fi remote to your wrist.

Can't recommend it if you're anyone other than slender built.
It shows what to me looks like an average male's wrist. Well, I'm 6'-1" and weigh 215 so I may be slightly larger, but the strap was no where near long enough to go around my wrist. More like a woman's size, if you ask me. It's plenty well built, but absolutely too small. It does say it's length on the ad, but when the strap has to fold back on itself in order to fasten (as is usual for velcro) and the placement of the velcro makes it too small. The ad should say the circumference of the wrist that it's made to be used on. And for the price, I'd more recommend what I'm going to do - get a piece of webbing and sew on some velcro for probably just a couple of bucks. I'll be way ahead all the way around, except I still own something I can't use.

Gotta have this for your remote
It is the easiest way to control the camera from my boat while filming underwater in Monterey Bay or any other time I need an on/off function. Handy to get at on your wrist and very easy to operate with your free hand. I know that divers will love this device. Actually, anyone with a head, chest or tripod mounted camera will enjoy the ease of use of this device. Makes taking movies or pics so much nicer. Oh, and now it is only $3.99. Much better than the 16.99 I paid for it. Yes, it was overpriced, but now it is very reasonable.

Flawed design... don't waste your money
I am one to usually give the benefit of the doubt, but this product was a total waste of money. I don't understand what the other reviewers like about this strap -- did they even try it?!?!? It appears that many of the positive reviews discuss the WiFi remote itself, not this overpriced wrist strap.Upon receipt, I immediately noticed a couple of serious flaws in the design:1) I tried to slip this strap through the slots in the back of my GoPro remote, and it barely fits through. While the strap material itself is a good thickness, the added sections of velcro fabric make it too difficult to insert. Furthermore, the velcro fabric covers most of the strap's length, rendering it fairly stiff and non-compliant.2) It's way too short. I don't have huge wrists, but I could barely overlap the strap in any sort of secure manner. I cannot imagine trying to use this over a motorcycle jacket, ski jacket or wetsuit. In other words, it's totally useless for active sports unless you have wrists like toothpicks... or don't care if you lose your remote.3) The velcro sections are positioned wrong for "wrap-back" attachment. When you pass the end through the loop to fold back onto itself the "hook" and "loop" halves of the velcro are nowhere near each other, resulting in a poor "hook-to-hook" meshing that is certain to fall off. Normally a person would simply pull it tighter so that the "hooks" would engage the "loops" better, but the strap is too short (see #2) to do this.4) The velcro sections are also positioned wrong for "flat-overwrap" attachment. Once you realize that you can't secure this strap by folding it back onto itself (see #3), you'll think that you are stupid and try to figure if there is another way to secure the strap -- and discover that the "hook" and "loop" sections are on the wrong sides relative to each other. You'd expect the "hook" section on the outside of a wrapped-layer would mesh with the "loop" section on the underside of the next layer, but they don't. Perhaps adding a twist to the wrap??? Nope again -- the strap is too stiff (see #1) and too short (see #2), and why would you want to create a raised twist on your wrist anyway?!? Despite all manner of twists, folds, wraps, etc. I could not figure out a way to make this strap stay firmly secured.5) Given the fact that this does not serve its intended purpose with any level of security or satisfaction, it is an overpriced piece of kit that you will regret purchasing. As others have mentioned, there are much better wrist-straps out there (including DIY solutions) that cost substantially less and actually work.On a positive note (and I'm stretching here), this wrist strap appears to be reasonably well made. However, this is completely irrelevant when considering the serious design flaws that render this product useless. Bottom line: I cannot recommend this product, and suggest you skip this one. Mine is getting sent back now.

This is a gem for camera control
I tried using my smartphone for camera control...it works fine but it's something I have to keep my eye on to see the picture and have to hold onto as well.So I ordered the GoPro WiFi remote control and am very pleased with the ease of camera control while being inconspicuous. The wrist band makes it like a wrist watch - out of the way but ready to go. Recommend it!

Very "handy"
This strap works perfectly with the go pro remote and allows me control the go pro without having to hold onto it. I can take photos with my camera while the go pro is filming while strapped to my head or chest. I have skinny wrists and it fit me fine and could be expanded so it fit my husband fine too. It was a great price and was shipped very quickly.

Effective Wrist Strap, at a good price.
This band was a little tough to get installed into the remote, but it has a quality build. I'd make sure to be very careful not to ruin the velcro strip when inserting into the slots on the remote. It has a decent bit of stretch, but doesn't get loose.
