Eliminator
It fit my maxxum 55/fc . Definitely noticed less vibration at higher speeds and less vibration when turning. Smoother take off too. I used a blue locate on mine when installing it. I use this trolling motor on a bowfishing boat. So we'll see how durable it is soon enough. Would recommend. Update later. 9-1-23

Works good
This so far after 4 fishing trips has seemed to help out on some vibration, when you turn motor from one direction to the other quickly while running at a higher speed. As far as improving the performance and perhaps giving me longer battery life due you the streamlined water flow. Well I just don't know for sure but being a propeller driven mechanic and builder of aircraft for years this is the same technique used to lessen the buffeting airflow around the hub of a prop.

Easy improvement
This worked better than I was expecting. This summer I have been out and the trolling motor does not vibrate when making sharp turns, changing direction suddenly, and changing apeed. Pretty neat concept and it looks cool too.

Good idea but not if shear pin breaks
Installs are very easy and quick. The downside is if you hit something with your prop and the shear pin snaps you will have no access to hold the shaft in place in order to unscrew this. It would have been better if the cone end has a cap that could be removed to place an flathead screwdriver in to hold the shaft while unscrewing in case that happens.I gave it 2 stars because it could have been a much better and safer idea. taking a huge risk on the water and no way to remove if that happens. I ended up drilling a 1/4"hole in the dimple of the cone so that if this happens I can not hold the shaft in place while unscrewing the cone.
