Q: Can a beginner learn to throw well using a ace of spades gen 3- although it’s listed for an advanced person?

Because the most difficult aspect of the sport is consistently getting the axe to rotate properly from the 12ft line, we would recommend a starter axe like the Killshot which can take a tremendous amount of abuse which occurs when starting out. The Ace of Spades is a patented axe but even with the hickory handle, we wouldn’t suggest beginners to learn on the most expensive and high end axe that we sell to avoid breaking the handle. Once you’ve had lots of practice and can consistently land the axe on the target, then we would recommend an upgrade to our higher end axes. In the long run, it will save you money and ensure you’re taking the same path as tens of thousands of axe throwers all over the world.
