The only muzzle he’s EVER kept on
First of all, I know why you’re reading this, same reason I read all the reviews before I bought it...this thing is insanely expensive and do I seriously want to spend that much on a piece of plastic? If I add up all the muzzles I have previously bought and he’s removed within the first few minutes of wearing it, then it should have just splurged on this one in the first place and treated myself to some new riding boots with what I had saved. With previous muzzles I have, without exception had to take scissors and bailer twine to them and adapt them, cutting nostril holes, adding more (pointless) anti removal straps and making the hole in the bottom bigger and he still hated them and took them off. What I like about it:is it’s clear and unrestrictive there’s plenty of room and gaps for air to circulate and my horse will happily gallop around with it on without struggling to breathe. It’s really, really, super tough and as the name hints, it’s flexible (so no teeth wear) I did have to cut the hole a tad bigger, which was pretty difficult given the toughness of the silicone. He’s so happy with it, he even puts his nose in it himself because he knows that’s the cue to go out in the field. It’s easy to clean. My vet commented that he had lost weight since her last visit and that, is all that really matters. What I don’t like about it:The price... I did a huge gulp before clicking ‘complete purchase’ as previous muzzles have been a complete waste of money and this, plus a field safe head collar was nearly £100 that I didn’t want to be throwing away a lump of cash like that if he didn’t keep it on.It’s fiddly to fit. Also, If you don’t choose the right field safe head collar it’s really a pain to try and make it fit evenly. Don’t choose a head collar with an adjustable noseband for that reason. I got lucky, I picked a Kavalkade field safe to go with mine and it was a lot easier to fit than my friends’s who has a dirty great buckle getting in the way on hers.It rubs, badly :( my head collar had a neoprene spongy liner on the noseband and I hoped the zip ties would sink into it and not make contact on his nose, they did sink in but they still rubbed like heck. Within a couple of days he had a few small bald very sore spots where the zip ties had rubbed. I had to make adaptions (is there a grazing muzzle out there that you don’t have to get all Blue Peter with???) I wrapped vet wrap bandage round to cover the zip ties.. that didn’t work.. I added sponge padding and more vet wrap.. it still didn’t work.. I ended up having to butcher my £20 Velcro-on sheepskin noseband and fit that on and that worked - for this reason I give it 4 stars and not 5. It should come with a padded liner, there isn’t a horse on earth those zip ties won’t rub. Btw.. just buy standard zip ties the same width, not their stupidly expensive low profile ones. I guarantee your horse will break at least one zip tie fairly frequently. My horse has broken two since I bought it. My friend’s horse has broken all 8 more times than I can remember.Overall, every human and every horse hates grazing muzzles but sometimes you don’t have a choice but to use them. This is by far the best of what’s out there and my horse’s eagerness to put it on it tells me that. I hope the manufacturers read these reviews because if the do please, please supply padding for the noseband WITH the muzzle. Those zip ties in contact a sensitive bony nose are borderline cruelty.

Thinline muzzle
This is a fantastic muzzle the best by far. Greengard, buckets muzzles didn’t work on my cob bleeding sores, teeth worn down!! What to do next? So I looked at the thinline muzzle it said kind to teeth and skin. That’s what I need for my boy no pain. I have never seen him so happy with a muzzle on, he can breath and yawn it’s like he hasn’t got one on it’s so lightweight. I’m happy and would be happy to buy one every year! If your thinking about buying one. Think about your horse how happier they will be. If you buy the thinline halter the zip ties don’t touch the horses skin.

Happy horse in new grazing muzzle.
Does not rub, horse not running to gate all the time to come in, as with previous heavy masks. Appears very content in this light weight mask. Highly recommended.

Rubs
The mussel bit is good but where the fixings are they run on the horses face and courses sores

Kind comfortable muzzle
It’s not the most attractive muzzles but out of everything I have tried my mare has kept it on and is comfortable in it. She can yawn in it, it’s more breathable than other masks I’ve tried as her nostrils are clear. It hasn’t rubbed and so far seems durable. Much nicer than those heavy cage or basket muzzles out there

It is adviseable to fit it in situ, using the tie tapes first before putting on the final tapes
This is a fabulous product. Nice and light for the horse. Plenty of breathing room. And still keeps his weight down. I wish I had heard about it before.

Great!
Really nice lightweight muzzle, allows plenty of air in which is great in hot weather. Pony so much happier and comfortable in this than traditional muzzles, yet still reduces grass intake adequately.
