Great book for self growth and getting to see the "missing parts" of yourself.
Deep book, it's a great book if you're looking for a deep dive into your psyche and getting to know yourself better. Alain writes in a unique way that you fall in love with every single word as you keep on reading this book.

not bad
What I love most about it is the way it blends philosophy, psychology, and practical advice without feeling heavy or overly academic. Each chapter feels like a friendly chat with a wise friend who just gets it. The illustrations are a nice touch too, adding a bit of fun to the reading experience.

A great guide book into the most important jouney into the nature of our emotional lives!
If you are even vaguely interest in your own personal development as an emotional human being, or the development of you adult children, I could not recommend anything more strongly than this. Not exactly a self-help book, rather it places the journey of our emotional development into a larger context than any one particular issue, problem, or malady. I would also note that is not a scientific journal sort of thing. It is really just one of the most pleasant guided excursions into the forces shaping who we are as emotional beings, and how we might respond to those forces .Now if you are saying, 'well I have reached full maturity in regard to my emotional development' please be advised that I just turned 70 and continue to discover much I did not know about my on-going emotional development even at this advanced age.The writing is quite elegant and eloquent, so the narrative flows very nicely. I have already ordered multiple copies for friends and family, and in each case am recommending that they pass the book on to their children when they are done. By children I would suggest starting at ages of 18 and up. Enjoy the journey

A Great Deal To Learn
In just the sample I gleaned a great deal so I purchased the ebook for both myself and my best friend whose going through life hurdles. The book is dense in the best way. This is not a quick read because it's about life, human relationships, self image as well as societal responsibility. The book can be very grounding and comforting in times of need. It's discussed how we think we're alone in our weirdness and faults but we all have issues though most prop up a façade to present happiness and being well-adjusted. Don't be fooled, we're all in various stages of disarray.I recommend "School of Life" very highly.

great book
I wish I had this book in my 20s. I probably would not have listened to the advice fully but some ideas would have penetrated. In my 40s, it would have helped with some significant challenges with a broader perspective. Now, it provides a good tool for looking back and assessing the journey ahead.
