I needed this to connect line level signals with isolation. It can be used with a mixer's line level speaker output to connect powered speakers that are plugged into multiple 120 volt outlets where ground loop/60 cycle hum exists between them. This isolates the ground loop. It is difficult to find true line level transformers. Cannot do this with a standard passive DI Box because they are HI Z impedance input. Even when setting a standard DI Box to 0 attenuation, the passive DI Boxes still greatly drop the volume. This does a great job of keeping the signal strength with almost indiscernible drop in volume. It must have a good transformer. Even the active DI Boxes drop the volume a lot if used to isolate a line level signal, but not as much as the passive since the active DI's act a little like a preamp.

I installed this on our live stream audio feed and it cleaned the noise up without Compromising any quality at all.Very happy with this purchase, worth every penny!

This is a well made unit with relatively good transformers inside (of unknown origin). It eliminated 90% of my monitor system's 60 cycle hum which uses 2 amps each running a speaker pair. Really happy about that! It also delivers a bit hotter signal. I noted however a very slight drop in naturalness and low-mid fullness or "warmth" to vocals when in use. I'd say just a slightly harder sounding presentation. Not a bad thing for a vocal to cut through in a live setting though. Only something I noticed after switching it in and out of the system. Still decent sounding and worth it for getting rid of that dang hum!

Does exactly what you need it to do! Makes OD a ton more cleaner if you wanted to apply it to a low voltage instrument or makes recording a hell of lot more cleaner to really get those receiving signals more broad. Really appreciate the good purchase guys!

Does absolutely NOTHING. Nothing more than a double female that costs over 100 bucks. Returning immediately.Do not waste your money.

I'm using this to decouple a tube mic preamp from my Icom IC-7610. Works perfectly.

This product just plain works. Used this to kill the hum in two subwoofers at the end of a 30' foot cable run. Had to get a couple XLR to RCA cables also, but after hooking up, putting the lift switched up and the earth swing down, the hum is gone, or at least to the point I can't hear it.I've literally tried a half dozen similar products from Amazon, most didn't work, one had a minor effect, but this product by far is the best.
