Akai Professional MPC Touch | Music Production Station with 7" Multi-Color Touchscreen

If you are going to buy this new, don't waste your money. Isn't worth the price at that price, almost all instruments are overpriced. If you get this used for $380 or less, do it.Edit: 3/2/2020 It is a great product. The MPC one and this are practically the same. If I had a choice of a "New" product, I would pick the MPC One BUT if money is tight, this is THE BEST way to get into MPC's. I learned a LOT being a first time music maker/instrument user/midi etc I have NEVER done anything with music up until this year. Turned 30 and said "I'm TIRED of listening to these trash A** BEATS!!!" so I bought a Komplete Kontrol M32 Keyboard, a DeepMind 6 and an MPC Touch. Haven't used the DM6 yet but OMG I am already a legend in my mind with this MPC and the KK M32.

The unit is defective. i have since sent it back to the manufacturer but now i realise that I shouldnt have done that because its going to take weeks before I can get the unit replaced and I had to pay $80 to send it back.This has been a nightmare. I think I would have been better off buying the unit from the store.Im very dissapointed.

I use this thing everyday, so easy and amazing.

The product had too many hardware/software bugs to be stable.To be fair this product is ahead of its time and is very easy and fun to use. Me and my kids had a blast making,mixing and chopping up songs. However it did have a few bugs that made me return it.1. The video drivers did not work well with my mac. I had to battle with the device to make it work with my multiple monitor setup. Keep in mind that this manual configuration was *NOT a one time thing. I had to do it each time I plugged the device in. The device did not remember or have the ability to save the configuration profile once properly configured. This got a not frustrating after 2-3 times. The device does not use a native touch screen rather it relies on your host display settings and can therefore cause issues with your current display configuration.2. MPC touch software was a bit buggy. Maybe version 2.0 will fix these bugs as well as making the software a true DAW.3. I really ***hope they release a version with a flip up display. Having the display dormant and flat means that you have to tweak your back, eyes and neck in order to use it. This is aweful and slows down my creative workflow. This is also not ergonomic so long mixing sessions will jave tou feeling beat up. This and the driver issues is the primary reason I returned it.4. I would also like to see an MPC Renaissance touch display.

ITs okay, no SideChain compression but it has the classic MPC feel and then some. the lack of side chain ability kills my work flow thoughInMusic is awesome, my initial MPC stopped working and InMusic worked with me and AKAI to get a new one shipped out ASAP

THE ITEM DID NOT WORK, JUST A LINE ACROSS THE SCREEN AND IT WAS MISSING A PIECE.TECH SUPPORT WAS NOT AT ALL HELPFUL

Hands down the best piece of hardware I've ever purchased. The work flow is outstanding. I can connect my midi keyboards to my MPC and instantly start creating. Such a smart investment for real music producers, worth every penny.

Love the mic great device fast shipping. Only problem it did not with everything that was supposed to be with the product. Mine was missing the midi cords so I have to purchase them separately that's the only down side. Having to spend more money on something that you should already have is unfortunate
