It works great for bass fishing seems to have a long battery life

I bought this motor for a 22' pontoon boat. I wanted it both for fishing and also for exploring in shallow water. It does both well.In shallow water, I can stand next to the motor and quickly pull it up if it gets too shallow. It is powerful enough to stop or turn the boat in tight places.For trolling, it has enough power to hold against a strong current or strong wind. It has 10 speed settings that allow you to control the speeds of the boat and therefore the lures for good action.I use the wireless remote, which I can do from any position on the boat. Having it on the lanyard keeps it handy.I have also used this to maneuver the boat in difficult wind and current conditions. Since I have this mounted to the bow, it makes the boat very maneuverable. A pontoon boat is not very maneuverable and this is ideal for difficult conditions.My reason for giving it 4 stars was that it was not clear that it didn't come with the quick removal attachment plate or the foot control. I didn't care about the foot control, but the quick removal plate is ideal because of where it is mounted.It also won't hold it very high wind or current, but I didn't expect that and don't expect to be using it in those conditions.

Well as with any less expensive item thats off brand I was a little skeptical but so far it works fine the only issue I seem to have is while panning right it happens to shut off every once in a while but hit the button to make it start moving again and off I go again lol but overall time will tell. ive used it all day for a total of 4 days so far and just the one issue

This motor has been the biggest pain in my butt. Ran decent for about 2 1/2 years but not optimal. After said time the motor began to have a very loud screech anytime the motor was turning any direction. (Not to mention the infernal beep on any engagement of the motor) When you’re trying to be stealthy on the water and get those fish that are spooked easy to bite and you have a screech coming from your motor makes it very difficult to get bit. However, Not my main issue with this motor. Now I’ve had it for about 4 years now and the POS won’t even turn right after about 30 mins of use with my battery showing 90%. Would not recommend this motor to anyone that’s expects it work more than 2 years. May be a good price but there’s a reason. You’ve been warned!

Pushes my 18.6 bay boat well even against a current and it seems to be holding up.

Just need just in case my engine breaks down
